Incredibly, early reports of the Gov. Schwarzenegger's forthcoming proposal to trim the prison budget suggest he would rather reduce penalties for crimes like auto theft, receiving stolen property, or writing bad checks than for offenders charged with growing even a single marijuana plant or selling a joint. The governor's plan would change some property crimes that are currently charged as felonies to misdemeanors, but, bizarrely, leave felony penalties for victimless marijuana offenses intact.

Ironically, Gov. Schwarzenegger recently dismissed the idea of taxing and regulating marijuana as not being worth the $1.4 billion in new revenue it would bring to the state, but now he's trying to tell us that reducing penalties for car thieves is a perfectly fine way to save a few bucks. No wonder confidence in state government is at a record low in California.

This I can not believe, what the fuck is he thinking. If people would just open up their eyes and realize that yes criminalizing marijuana was a wrong move on our nations behalf. its time to man up and do what we can to fix what is wrong with this country and it starts with lifting prohibition of marijuana. NOT loosening laws on actual crimes

I'm going to try to get him on the phone. Everyone needs to call or email him and give him hell. Not only is he an ass, he's stupid. It doesn't make any sense. :finger: Arnold!:wall::wall::wall::finger::finger::finger::finger::finger:

Ill smack him around when I go back to LA in october. your totally right is stupid. Everything is right in front of him and yet its like he is blind. I dont see why he would want to lower penalties on theft based crimes and not life prohibition on reefer, when the only bad thing reefer does is makes some people be lazy.

I would feel much safer living in a society that had strict guidelines for marijuana use, and very strict/theft laws. I rather see people not get in trouble for smoking a j and i love to see people that steal other peoples things get put away. not the opposite.

I'm sure it must be lobbyists and his financial needs to run for something else. What a sell out and hypocrite!

Are we the only ones mad at this?:fire:

Macy is coming down next Friday. I think she'll be close to a pound or at least half. She's dying now. I don't like this part. It's so sad. She has a very good place to go though. Some patients are waiting for her. How are you? When am I going to get you over here?!!! :bigjoint:

In the end it always comes down to the lobbyists. they are true evil within our country.

I did the math and for the 1536 inmates that are housed in California prisions at a rate of $49K a year, that equals a COST of $75,264,000.00 per year! We need to do something about this!
Yeah Cani, I did the math too when I was reading...what a waste.

And no I can not even really nail down the emotion that I am feeling. I kinda like(d) the governator...though I am not very conservative, neither is he. I feel a little betrayed...and I guess shocked. I really did not expect this, as a matter of fact I expected to see the CDC population lowered by releasing non-violent drug/marijuana offenders...not crooks! And I expected a move towards taxation and legal sales to adults. Certainly not taking the measly 33 million from the feds to give to the pigs...that joint agency task force shit...it is not a generic drug unit...it is a marijuana eradication program. The joint agencies is not necessarily referring to cooperation between local and state law enforcement agencies, but U.S. Forest service, Park Service, BLM, and even the USFWS.

All of the former but the Park Service (including the county sheriff's narco-task force and the CHP) were used back in August near where I am trying to buy property in NE California. They did not catch the mexican gardeners, but the chopped over 3,700 plants!

We're going to have to be more vocal I guess. I have a friend that's friends with someone that threw a major MJ event in LA this year. I'm sure at least 50,000 people attended. I can't say which event it was. But 2 weeks after the event, he got busted. Being high profile has big costs. What should we do?

You are too cool can.i. If I were in Cali and single I'd be all for that, I'm 33 btw and very fit, I train in mixed martial arts to counter all the bud smoking. Maybe we'll meet in another lifetime. I love your political awareness, keep it up, one day we will win.

Hey, I haven't heard from you since you said my fake boobs were gross. I didn't answer your question right away because I wasn't sure what I should say since understandably, I'm a bit paranoid right now. Also, people treat you differently once you tell them like they don't trust you anymore. It SUCKS! Since I am state legal and am willing to be transparent and put myself out there, I'll tell you. I've lived in my house by the beach for almost 9 years. I loved being there. But I got a feeling it was time to move. I moved my home stuff, my business and my grow within 2 weeks of deciding to do it. It was a BIG job. Best work out ever. I broke my toe right before the move so that was extra difficult. My roommate went to the old house a few weeks after we moved to talk to the neighbor. He told him that some (not city) cops came by in bullet proof vests. They were looking for the "occupant". They said they got a tip that "the occupant" was cultivating. She said that she had no idea where I went. The cops said "well sometimes these things just work themselves out." That was almost 2 weeks ago. I almost tore everything down. I'm finishing up in a few weeks and then I'll shut down and move to a warehouse. She thought they were DEA but they didn't have DEA on their vests so it was probably the local narc squad. What fun!:wall:
