Ants!

I use Humboldt Honey and my local ant colony must have smelled it and now they have been marching in for a few days. I just noticed that they have been burrowing into the soil to get to the honey, and it's pissing me off so how do I get rid of them? I have read how to kill them generally, but if any of you have experience, let me know. Thanks.

I've never had to deal with ant problems, whats weird is I had a dream about an ant collony walking up the walls of my grow room last night and I was furious. Thats why i'm posting this now, lol. First off,if your nutes are attracting the ants, get different nutes immediately. Second, search the internet for a powerfull but safe pesticide that kills everything but your plants of course. Give all your plants a complete flush, I don't think ants can breath under water. Find out where the ants are getting in and seal that off,you need a sealed grow room so you can controll these sorts of things. Stay up Oregon, the CHron. state.

If they find a reliable food source they will set up a nest at the site plus they carry fungi and pests with them. I noticed ants crawling around my room a few weeks ago. The little fucks had built nests in my ballasts. I used a product called "Ant Rid" which is like poison honey. I cleaned out the ballasts and vacuumed as many of them up as I could and spread the poison around. I know a guy that just uses insect spray on his plants for Gnats, Ants, mites etc. I don't advise anyone to smoke his shit though.

Good job rusty, get rid of those fuck's. Thats funny they were in your ballasts, but now that I think about it-it's not funny. I wouldn't smoke his shit either,if you've got bugs you got a problem lol. I could imagine vacuuming them up with a shop vac or something, very funny, lol. I hope you got them. Stay up Oregon, the chronic state.

Ants aren't like spider mites, aphids, white flies, or thrips, they dont want your plant they want the moisture or soil. If your indoor, and it's an option take them outside and clean all the ants off your pots thoroughly, same with outside,it'll be an everyday task, or if you have a serious pesticide solution use that at low concentrations. I wouldn't chop her, she's fine as long as you save the root system.:leaf:;-)
