Another Aerogarden question

Ok, so, I'm sure you have all heard this a lot but I haven't; so I'm asking... can i flower with my aerogarden lights?? i know they don't have a timer for 12-12 but I am confused as to whether that's the problem or if it's the lights themselves. Because they do turn on and off manually. If anyone could give me some insight that would be awesome, they're about 5 weeks and look schtanky. Also if the lights are a problem if you could recommend a cheap, low-pro, alternative, I want to flower these without making it an operation..

You can flower with an AG (*many* people have done it)

I feel more then one plant and the roots will get over run for the res.

As for the 12/12 timing, just get a timer (lowes, wal mart, home depot, etc) and I'm sure you have a cable (figure 8, as they are called) and use that for the lights, leave the pump as is. (also best to add a fish tank air pump and stone to an AG.

Wow thanks man I really appreciate this. I'm about 4 1/2 weeks in and they're looking beatuifull. One, the train-wreck, is around a foot and as purple as the grimmace, But he's getting to big for the AG so.... I was wondering....; A) is now an optimal time to flower for an AG? B) How many plants can an AG hold? I have 6 in it at the moment and the root systems are going NUTS i'm wondering if they will kill eachother competing for the same nutrients?

what i did with my AG is put it in one of thoes plastic bins and painted the inside of it flat white. reason being so much light is unused because there are no walls on the AG. that worked very well for a while till my plants out grew it. now i just have the lights and the hood from the AG in a 5' x 2' wodden box and mounted it on the roof of the box.

And if you have an old figure 8 cord ( like the PS2 had, its the same rounded double pin plug) you can run your lights on a timer seprate from the ag. That way the pumps stay on even with lights off
