I'm looking for a house somewhere in the country. I was looking in Milan, or anywhere else I can find where I can see anything come from 1/2 mi. I have some cash but not the whole thing. Maybe I can find some owner financing or something. I would just hate to rent or lease where someone else owns the property. In Michigan can the owner come in and inspect the property. Most likely right? If someone can help me out and find a good spot I will definitely show my appreciation. I have plenty of dank. PM me. bump

Hey, with the right LL you won't have any difficulties. property owners know a medical tenant may be detail oriented and take care of the rent. I've met a lot of responsible patients/cg's and plenty o cool LL's too. You still looking' for a place in the country? rural livin' is something else, i dig it.

Thanks a lot brother. YES, I'm definitely looking for a place in the country. I hope to buy a house up there, I've been on zillow and found some pretty cheap spots. I am single right now so everything is pretty easy to take care of. The first house up is not going to be perfect, I just need a spot where I don't have to worry about calling the cops because I had to just put a few shells in some guy who wants a few plants. I hope to be up there by Feb., but I may wait a little longer.

I see your goal is similar to mine , I made a trip up to MI , and talked to several landlords , but when you mention growing it falls apart at that point , you will probably have better luck buying . I’m in the process of fixing up a van that will serve as living quarters to be able to find that perfect spot . Good luck on your project .

There are deals on property close to where I live and mine is just about perfect. " ....can't see anything for a half mile"... would be a stretch, more like " the neighbors are far enough away they can't smell the grass growing". One of them does think there are more skunks around this year. VV

Nice, sounds similar to the kind of spot I had down here. That's more like what I was really trying to say. Skunks? HA,ha.

abe sorry if that came off a little wrong. I'm really just a peace loving dude, but I know what can happen. Is it wrong to protect your self and property, even if it means you have to use deadly force. Isn't that what the second amendment is about? I hope one day we can be a little more civilized, but until then I'm locked and loaded.

I would run an ad on craiglslist saying what you are looking for and mention you will sign a lease and pay your shit on time. I think you will get several calls. Most landlords are scared of late payments not marijuana. There are plenty of places in the UP. When you are looking at a place mention atleast a dozen times that rent will never be late. Our government in Michigan is pretty fucked up, they created an abundance of vacant housing throughout the state.

I have been talking to a couple real estate brokers. I wanna find a short sale or a house which is going into foreclosure. I've really never want to rent again, it doesn't make sense. I could be paying rent or a mortgage. I think it is probably better to pay the mortgage and not have to worry about a landlord. But I did get my last grow house on craigslist. On a side note, I was just up in MI for a day or 2. It surprised me how much of the D looks like Escape from LA. I bet you could buy a whole block down there for about $200, a 50 piece, and a pair of old Jordans.

You never know, even if you do everything right, stay low, get a few dogs, good doors and locks, some random shit out of nowhere can happen. Usually it doesn't happen like that i guess. Just after talking to a guy up in GR he said "it's thirsty up there, especially before Christmas" motivates me further, to do my research and find an area with a low property crime rate. I'm sure there is quite a few towns up there with some good, old fashioned, kind of people. That's my kind of people, work for your own and if you want to take somebody else's things be prepared to fight for your life.

I tried the Craigslist a while back , even found one that sounded like it would work but then I told him that I would need to use the address to apply for my MM card , it was then a no-go , Also when I went on Google and drove around the area ( Downtown Detroit ) half of the homes in the area had been destroyed by fire , bad sign

Offer to pay 3-6 months of rent in advance, lump sum, and ask for some kind of discount too, many landlords love this... if you pay way in advance it's not even possible to be late anymore...
