amsterdam??

Hey all, going to amsterdam for the first time in 3 days, for 2 days. Have been looking on different sites, but what would you all recommend on trying, or where to go? During the day I'm after an uplifting high, or even a mellow one, any that doesn't make u feel sleepy, and night time is when il be smoking indica dominant ones. Is there any point in smoking a few different strains one after the other? Looking forward to trying Dr grinspoon, but heard bad stuff about recent batches in barneys?

I recommend you taking at least 500 euro spending money (not counting hotel stay) leaving yourself about 20/30 euro for eating at a place called Burger Bar, go to these coffeeshops(two dots)

Happy Times (try the strawberry haze)
Betty Boop 2 (the owner a nice japanese guy who gives you cookies and a nice chat)
Grey Area, (smoke everything they have)
Amnesia. (Good place to chill at and very decent weed)

Those are all i can remember the name of there are a couple more worth looking at in the city, Though the best coffeeshops are in the outskirts where only locals go. Betty Boop 2 was the best coffeeshop i went to serivce wise. The guys the nicest bloke ever.
Avoid the obvious places like Greenhouse and Barneys and have a drink with your weed, its expensive but a bit rude to go in and start toking away.

It's been a long time, but i have enjoyed Homegrown Fantasy, Dutch Flowers, Dampkring, Tweede Kamer and Kadinsky. I dunno if they are any good these days. The best weed was a bit out of the Centrum. I forgot the name but would remember if I heard it.

It also depends on what you like and what mood you are in. Also, there are many good bars you can smoke in. Or there used to be. Ask around.
Some of the nicer places to smoke may not have the best weed though. Barney's always had good English Breakfast and good weed, but I wouldn't by any seeds. I always liked one particular Greenhouse location but would hardly ever get weed from them.

Sometimes the teeny tiny places will get a hold of something really special. Some of the best hash I have ever smoked came from a fairly unheard of place.

My Favorite is VOYAGERS, some of the best quality weeds in the Dam bar none, I go over every year, and there are still a good few quality shops, heres a photo I took of VOYAGER CS menu last March. another good shop is Utopia, I also like rookies. for a good quality map showing locations of all coffeeshops and a good forum etc google '' AMSTERDAM COFFEESHOP DIRECTORY '' Good luck mate, and I hope you have a blast.

If hash is your thing, I recommend the original Dampkring coffeeshop, they sell a range of hash known as the RIFMAN, the best of which is RIFMAN SENSIBLE ( pronounced the French way ) The Rifman is a Morrocan grower who sells only to certain Amsterdam Coffeeshops his whole yearly hash harvest is only a few Kilos of the highest quality.

when i was there, in most of the shops, they have a small booklet thing for like five euro.. it's called the smokers guide to amsterdam.. well worth the cash as it has lots of maps and guides to most of the better spots in the dam, plus a few coupons you can use as well..
when i got home, i found they also have a site, which is awesome imvho, as it gives great smoke reviews for both weed and hash, and tells you from which shop it was bought from, etc, etc.. simply awesome site if you're going to the dam..

umm, most of the good shops were mentioned already imo.. amstersam is amazing, it's well, amsterdam.. super friendly people, marijuana in leaps and bounds, and cool sites..

I like Rokerei, Speak Easy, Bulldog & Grasshopper. Ive driven over to Eindehoven & Rotterdam too. About 12-14 times in total bur not been for years. First went at 16 yrs old. However I live in a weed club city now so I've got it all on my doorstep plus the weather and the beach. Id only go to Dam in the Summer. It's the coldest time of year and even colder than the UK. Take your warmest clothes and have fun.

i was thinking the same thing lahada.. it's the wrong time to be going to the dam, unless of course you like your cold, which i'm not a fan. still an awesome city, and well worth a trip, or 14.
barcelona is still my favorite city thus far lahada.. not that i've seen tons, but still..

Amsterdam is like London in the Summer, it really comes to life. Barcelona in the Summer though is like a proper beach/city holiday with sweltering temps in August and night temps that can sustain 28-30C. They'll all be arriving here soon when they realise. How many clubs has Dam got? We have well over 250 clubs here, trouble is that they are members Associations and each membership would cost €20. However, the beach, weather, food, nightlife, arts and culture, music festivals, concerts etc win hands down IMO. We even have a Cannabis Museum (sister of the one in Dam). I will return there for a quick visit to see some friends in the Summer but Barca for me is truly the place to be!

Kadinsky had an unreal Master Kush last year, and i mean unreal. Oh fuckj yeh Poppeyes!!!! Poppeyes! Their vanilla kush is tooooooooooooooo good, hope they still have it. They used some haze to bring the vanilla flavour to the Kush. I spoke to Poppeye a lot about that strain.

Why go to Amsterdam when you can go to Barcelona right? lol Also with 500 euro spending money over here youd have to do a shoenice attempt at toking it all away, in amsterdam it will literally disappear without noticing. Ye you might find some strains over there with such a quality that might be harder to find here, though you can still get great genetics very well grown strains in some clubs.
Another thing i like about the clubs is that they become a wee bit like your second living room, since its a private club you can go in and literally stay all day playing games, chatting to people, watch stand up or just be on your laptop. Plus theres loads of sofas something you will not find in amsterdam lol.
Last time i went to amsterdam i had a log book of every strain i smoked with a small smoke report. I had over 35 strains and just ended up loosing it, Whoever found it had a fucking top strain/coffeeshop guide to Dam.

I saw strawberries in the supermarket yesterday! Not much more of this before we are back in the 20's C!!!

Thanks everyone, I'm taking 250 euros, for 2 days should be more than enough! Tbh, I never smoke more than 3g a day, is there any point in trying all the strains, I mean do you notice a different high each time? Looking to smoke more sativas during the day and indica on the night, don't want to be sleepy during day

Spain is very nice but nothing in the world beats Amsterdam atmosphere on a warm Saturday evening. I like sitting at an outside sidewalk cafe/pub and watching the freak show stroll by.
