to keep a completely sealed room I would need to pull outdoor air through the lights and back outside again. But the outdoor temps here get down well below freezing so during winter I can't keep a sealed room.

The room is in an un heated outdoor building. Little different than most who have a room in or attached to a warm house
I see.. So it is a room in an outdoor building. If so couldn't you vent into the bigger area of the building and heat that area up or is the space just to big. In the winter I dump the heat in the room from the tent. During lights out I use a small heater in the tent to maintain the desired temperature until the lights on...

Yes that's pretty much what I do but in doing so i don't run co2 because of the air exchange. I hope my new lights won't need much in terms of cooling and I can run a smaller Ac with co2 on high

That is why the PRO 9 IC has the ability to vent the light like a HPS vented hood. It is isolated from the grow environment. We have run a SS-150, SS-260 and a SE-220 all in the same tent. We use passive a passive intake and carbon filter that we exhaust out of the room and a window AC unit. We easily maintain temperatures in the high 70's...

That be a good option for people who have hps already set up with ducting. Pretty smart plug and play if a big placed wanted to make the switch as painless as possible.

Sweeeeet!
Just harvested mine. Must be like 8-10x more then the same wattaage big claims Hydroponics Hut Pro-Grow. What a fucking joke. The Amare SE-450 ROCKS.
Oh man that stinks. Now Victor needs to do a veg only light for us. I'm a little sick that I'm done buying stuff for my rooms.

I'm sure the 450 will kick ass. Can you help me out with what you recommend for light heights? When to run the cobs and when to run the uv? I would appreciate it tremendously. Right now I'm doing monos only around 20" from the tops and they for the most part are praying towards the light. Some leaves are curling like high heat stress but it's max temp is 75 in the room. I did read uv can cause issues with this but I'm unsure. I also switched the uv bulb for a 6500k during veg even though it's not doing much at all, just a little more blue.

Most of your answers will be here & I'll be happy to help you with any questions.
Your plants are still pretty small. I'd go to 24" although I haven't used my 450 for clones or seedling yet so I'm not sure.

Thank you. I always read the first pages of that thread then for some reason or another get distracted. It's such an exciting grow which is why I always start at the beginning again.

These are actually auto flowers. Can't get myself to do photos just yet and space is to tight

I know you can pull huge numbers with photos but the way I look at it is with photos you need so much more space for the larger plants, they take twice as long and being new to growing I hate to have A problem halfway through a long crop and have to start all over. My last auto grow I completely filled the room with surprisingly large plants and ended up with a great yield in 55 days from seed to finish. Hopefully now with the new lights new flower and new veg room I should have a quick turnaround of 30 days.

Im sorry I wasn't paying attention, it's tacoing a little. Temps have hit 79 max and a steady 77 throughout. I did read the ir leds can cause this somewhere

So you just handwater? I'm doing a flood table now with hydroton so was just wondering
Yes sir, they have drains to outdoors. Keeping it simple, clean and pretty. I love to hand water, trays keep it clean and drains keep it simple. Amares keep it all fired up and pretty. My room now feels like the inside of a light bulb. Hate to sound like I'm blowing up Amare but these lights are the absolute best thing I have bought in ages. Since I raised them the plants are super happy, praying, and growing like a weed. It's also 65 degrees today and room temps hit a max of 75 in a well insulated closed room. My Ac didn't kick on once.
