go burn some sugar and you will see, then try and burn some salt and you will see why it's not salt nutes that cause bad taste or burn colors

Yes, but at 80% amber, you have practically a narcotic. I don't know what you mean by veg.
After 80% you are breaking down the THC, no doubt.
It has been "ready" since it was 80% cloudy and 20% Amber.
Actually I like it a bit before any amber. When I see amber, I harvest. I like to leave 10% clear.
But that is just me.

What I look at is the botany of the system.
I know, for example, the PPM will not change much some days, and some days it will. If you are feeding at a rate the plant likes, the PPM will slowly drop.
THERE IS NO WAY THIS PLANT STORES SALTS. It uses the ions of the salts, the Minerals in solution.
It is a wives tale to say, these plants consume and store salts. Not true.
We make minerals available from various salts, only because they dissolve. What is taken up is not salt but ions of N, P, K, Si, Mn, etc.
And these don't combine back into salt. Almost all of it goes into production of Plant.

actually they do stay in amber there's nowhere else to go.
you can indeed get ambers in veg if you light manipulate which most of us do to some extent however, this is advanced technique and not recommended for a newer grower.
a newb just needs to concentrate on one thing: getting to harvest.
there was just this one newb who insisted on using "teas" and all sorts of shit rather than concentrating on technique, he concentrated on feed, overdid and his grow was fried 2 weeks away from the chop. that sucks for him.
