Almost ready to start flush?

When I started growing indoors I read and read and read.
Some of the stuff I read just didn't make sense to me after growing outdoors.
Flushing. Night chopping. 25 different nutrient bottles.
Sometimes we make it more complicated than it needs to be.

been growing since late 90's and have seen the difference with my own eyes in (5+ foot single cola plants in 5 gal buckets)

of course I was growing a 14 week strain (I doubt many of you couldn't even grow a 12 week strain (most can't make it 8 weeks))

I chop in morning before lights come on (or right when they do) does it make a difference? dunno! Maybe placebo! Not any easier to chop any other time so why not?

I have seen many times a difference with my own eyes when after flushing

I grow organic and feed mine nothing throughout grow and if I see getting close to harvest and leaves too dark green...then I begin to flush approx. three weeks prior to chop allowing no more nutrients/nitrogen from SOIL to enter the plant

if one doesn't flush then pot will still be just OK...it will have nasty nitrate aftertaste and actually will have smaller buds as bigger buds come from the storehouse in leaves then from added nutes

also, no research on what smoking all those additive residues will do

don't wanna flush...don't flush....I don't care

but if you advise someone else not to flush...that's different!

I just harvested my crop and didn't flush. No problems what so ever. passed all the tests, tastes amazing.

You're just a whippersnapper!

Growing outdoors is the ultimate test of patience. Rains start coming out here when the buds are full of trichs. Nights get colder. It's a chess match with Mother Nature.

This is a newbie thread. The OP's first grow I believe. Less is more and some things way more important than others ... like learning to feed responsibly ... for the first timer. Plenty of time to experiment after you have the basics down.

And if you feed your plants just enough, rather than obliterating them with nutes, flushing won't ever be in your vernacular.

I am a little surprised that your soil only/no nute 14 week strain grows don't taste heavenly and you feel the need to run a bunch of water for 3 weeks.

No, sorry. There is nothing wrong with not flushing.
Only if you overfeed your marijuana with nutrients. I really dont understand what the problem is. There are more than enough people saying it's fine without flushing.
Really the only way to figure it out is to do it both ways and decide for yourself. Like I did.
The shit I just harvested tasted just as good if not better than any of the weed I've ever smoked in my life, and everyone else agrees.

Dont flush 1 plant, and see for yourself.

Sorry guys , seemed to open up a can of worms , just to sum it up , i've learned not to call it flushing and call it leaching (hopefully that will in the future keep things from getting escalated) <3 But much love to everyone anyway and each to their own.

Try keeping an opened mind and try things for yourself. The best way to learn how to grow weed IMO is by not reading these kind of forums. Technical info is much better on regular gardening sites. Most plants function the same way, you won't have to wade through all bullshit theories and trolls you will here.
