almost got robbed by a ripper

it was 3 am and I had went outside because I was setting a timer for my green house. as I walked to plug my timer in I seen a black bag that wasn't there. walked up and looked and it was branches of cannabis. I picked up the bag and saw white shoes slowly walking, mother fuckers was almost invisible. I then ran into garage closing every light on the property. then ran out of the garage through the other side and into the house to close all lights then locked the door. call my partner to hurry the fuck up cuz we getting robbed. by the time he arrived they had left. I found black gloves on the floor. they perhaps was wearing all black that's why I can't see them.

they didn't get anything only a few branches of which was in the bag that I took with me.

I have a camo game cam pointed at may garden.

I am also lucky cause every one in my neighbor hood grows..we don't even have city police, its a volunteer FD too.

And its someone you know.

My new green house I’m building for next spring will some cameras. But I’m lucky I live in the middle of nowhere with plenty of land. Glad your good an no one was hurt.

Start calling acquaintances and ask where they we last night. Better yet, ask THEIR friends.

Thieves have loose mouths. Especially unprofessional ones.

Odds are they wont return anytime soon unless they are really dumb, in that even t they will get caught

Do you live in a legal state? Criminal trespass with intent to steal or vandalize is a serious offense.

If you do catch them trespassing take pictures or video then call the cops

Without retaliation or threat of retaliation they may return, especially if there are more than one. There are ways to bring hell down on them without risking you or your harvest.

Rumors, tell their girlfriend or wife they are cheating. Get a war dialer and leave it running for days. Tell their relatives they are using drugs. Slash tires. Call their work and say they have been stealing. The options are endless.

Mossberg pump action. The sound of chambering a shell is unmistakable. They'll run faster than they ever have and likely never return.

live in a legal state. but I am way over my plamt count so can't involve police. I'm not looking to retaliate, I just won't be speaking to anyone and live like a hermit.

I will be getting 2 huge dogs to free roam the property. i have no gun

Glad you are alright. Now you have to get serious and do what you need to do to protect yourself, your crops and your property.
I don't live in a legal state, so even though my 2 plants are outside, on my property that I own, if I got ripped, there is nothing I could really do. My neighbor behind me grows, so we keep an eye on each others gardens. I do live in a CC state, and I have my permit, so if anyone comes on my property I have every right to approach them, finger on the trigger ready to blast.

So, are you in a legal grow state?
And, are you also in a Conceal Carry state??

Rig cameras. Set alarms and trigger lines so when your outer perimeter is infiltrated, you will know and can respond with the advantage on your side.

If growing was my source of income, I would have my compound locked down tight. The investment would be justified from a cost analysis perspective.
