Would you consider buying a VERO after reading through some of the posts?

thx man those for the mothers, for veg, but what about those MW drivers which combination would be most efficient and best when you consider amount of power/ photons emited, yield g/w ?:) Im considering to put it on one huge passive heatsink to keep these things cool as possible so minimum heat dissipation would happen, I realizid due to my needs I need 2 mw drivers, but which ones? I would run them 350w at the start but I would want them to slowly goes to possibly 450w, maybe 500 but thats just a dreamers dream.

How big of an area are you trying to cover?
Have you considered the idea of running your chips both parallel and in series? If you were to wire 2 chips together then act as if that is only 1 chip, you'd effectively cut the amp load to each by half while the driver sees the same voltage as 1 chip.
An HLG 185C-700b would drive 8 29s at 700ma and have externally adjustable dimming.

for the start the are would be 5 ft 10 x 3 ft 3, I did consider it but I didnt came up with the results of it, I thought it would be the same, do you mean by that they would be less efficient when I connect about 4 to pair of MW HLG 240 700 or pair of HLG 185 1050s comparing to driving each one with single driver?, which is in your opinion better option? I think with single powering every cob, the price for the drivers would dramatically increase , Im not experienced in these areas, but Im willing to learn. I would be thankful for help:) Thx for the ali link btw ;)

1 Vero 29 run at 1400 is a great light source for 1 square foot of flower. Double that area for veg. Your 8 Vero 29s run at 700 would be a good veg light for about 8 square feet. You have double that. Two Meanwell HLG 185C-1400B drivers would cover your area well for veg.

To adequately cover your area with intense flowering light, you'll need around 20 of them at 1050ma each. HLG185-1050 will power 5 chips each. You'll need 4 of them.

Wow, if true that's a HUGE jump in performance at 180 LPW, even 155 would be a nice improvement for nominal. I'm not clear on which products will be 155 and 180, not a lot of details.

There's also an H series in the works, high density directional lighting apparently. Go Bridgelux!

Datasheets are already up for the H series. LPW not looking so good. Apparently it's just a higher density array so efficiency isn't breaking records.

I think it would grow some nice flowers, but efficiency is king... same reason most DIY is done with CXBs instead of Veros. I've seen some very nice yield, almost 1.7 GPW from Vero version 1 running at under 40% efficiency. I haven't really looked hard at pricing on the flip chip, but my cursory observations didn't seem to indicate it was a good price/performance option. Interestingly, the testing done by SupraSPL and robincnn indicate Vero 29v2 would make a decent low to mid current budget build in addition to being a good high current budget build. If the new Vero revision hits it's numbers at the same price currently being offered I'll be all over them.

I'm open to being wrong about the flip chip, and will be curious to see any grow logs based on it, but my impression is that it's a good marketing scheme without industry leading technology backing it up. A big improvement over all the epiled based lamps, and I wish them well with their horticobs but when you have Cree and Bridgelux to choose from I wouldn't bother. Despite what some may say regarding white cobs being a bad deal for growing plants, I know better.

I don't know the price on the Duets yet, but am not interested in them until I see some user friendly programmers to set the white and reds ( I don't want red/blues). So far I like the Lunas @ 250 watts (130,000 Lux@24").
I will be cutting down 1000 watts @ 25 watts per square foot worth of Green Crack. My link is in my sig.

Trying to test out the unmarked drivers in one of the Chinese lights I have. 112 1w leds divIded into three circuits labled as a 120w. I'm getting a reading of 88.6vdc and 2A out of one driver hooked up to one circuit. It doesn't SOund right. Unless there's sone series parallel stuff gong on? can someone point me to a good thread about testing led drivers and circuits? much appreciated

I like the white/red too. Grow is looking nice! I will take another look at Duet and Luna.

I am waiting for a bunch of heat sinks right now, so he may only have the COBs available. If he only has the COB, you can get the heat sink from here-https://led.cdiweb.com/. The Coolbays tera A are a perfect fit. Hopefully Alex order extra heat sinks with my order.
