All my plants died, cannot diagnose.

This is halfway through week 5 and i have no idea whats wrong at this point. I stabilized the Ph level in its own bucket of distilled water to flush it, and it still continued to die after a day. I added a tiny bit of nutes, and it pretty much was leaning over the next morning.
Its already dead, but I cant really determine why.

The other picture is everything at week 3, happy as can be. By the tail end of week 4, my sunflower at the end mysteriously dropped dead by itself. When week 5 started, they showed very subtle signs of being unhealthy..after that within days everything started dropping. Im using miracle grow 20-20-20

What were the contiton of the roots when you pulled them. I see you are using hydroponics, what is the satus of that? Was there any smell in the water that was odd, or a film of any sort on the surface?

Yes, Actually there was. On the last day, there was just a bad smell.. I can't describe it. I just smelt like something was wrong.

I'm not sure if it was a film.. but when the airstone bubbles rose to the top, they just kind of sat there.. kind of like soapy water. (there was no soap in the water)

Also, im using a reservoir bubbleponic system. I've read a couple of blogs, and people swear by 20-20-20 for vegetative state?

Well first of all your using hydroponic medium and your using a fertilezer for soil. That miracle grow is one thing in soil because the soil buffers it in a hydro system your plants are sucking up the fertilizer with it's water. First of all I find it surprising that people swear by 20-20-20 miracle grow for babies? Are you using this as a fvoliar spray or adding directly to your reservoir?Either way it was definately the MG that killed your plants, plain water probably would have grown a bigger healthier plant up to this point. What blogs are you reading I think that most people would advise against miracle grow and it seems like overkill.(not sayoing your an idiot if you use this with good results)

start over and go get some hydroponic fertilizer, and Ive nnever grown hydro, but keep your ph stable big dives in ph are disastrous(take ph after youve added your nutrient solution)You dont flush a hydro set up like soil you just keep replacing the water/fertilizer mixture because the water will evaporate and the fertilizer will be used so the ph will change and the nutrient levels will change. Also I would recommend redoing your set up and space the plants a little farther away. gl

seems like your useing meracle grow in hydro not cool... get good nutes foxfarms is easy to use... distilled water is not the best to use either.. it lacks certain minerals that you need in your water keep the water temps in check high temps will cause root rot and funky smells, go to the hydro section of the forum and read read read until you know what to do than do it again

keep water temps in the mid 70's ph 5.8 (5.6-6.0) use proper nutes, keep water arrated, the more dissolved oxygen in your water the less chance of rot.... get som hygrozyme or h202,, i like h202

Soil nutes in hydro = fail. Plus it looks like low light with the way the leaves started out, but regardless...
