So, I'm on week 8 with my 1st CFL grow. I attached some pics and appreciate any feedback. The plant in the middle is lookin a little on the dark green side, I think I gave her too much nitrogen. Ahhhh....that feels so good to say "her", just showed sex today :) So out of the 3, one lady so far! Just wondering what you should do when you've given too much nitrogen??? Her leaves are a little stiff too :(
Thanks peeps!

thanks :) I lucked out with some bag seed...It's so hard to not "over tend to them". I find myself greeting them in the morning and always re-arranging pots, lights, turning and twisting. I keep telling myself, "Cali, it's just a weed" lol!

Good Job! At this point in flowering the need for N is much lower anyway. I would not be so concerned.

I really understand what you mean. My ladies are still just 1 inch roots and I find myself wanting to keep messing with them. I will be following your thread so keep the upfyes rolling :)

Thanks everyone :) I was thinking of throwing them into flowering soon, they are about 10 weeks now! Think that will be OK or too soon? I' at about 19" tall now and my big plant is already showing "her" sex! All of them have atleast 10 nodes??

It is definitely ok to put them into flowering....heck some people flower from seed. ;)

Remember, they will double...and in some cases, triple in size during flowering.

I would start now for sure. :)

Some strains just show sex earlier than others....I guess you are lucky in that regard...I have three sprouts right now, I wish you could just tell the sex then! LOL!

LOL! I guess that would take away the exciting part of seeing her first set of pistils. You should see me now....with a magnifying glass checking on the little sprouts every day to see if I can see a little head of white. LMAO!I prob appear somewhat psychotic :O

I vegged mine for 9 weeks. They've been in flower for almost 3 weeks. The ONLY dowside of CFLS is that during flower I have to adjust the lights EVERYDAY, they tripple in size during flower mine have grown about half an inch to an inch every 2 days.
I love using the cfls though. I live in an apartment & don't need high power bills!
It's been a breeze for me!

Week 1 of flowering has been a very special one. Learned that all 3 of my bag seed are in fact ladies
HORRAY!!!!

So, changed light over to 12/12 and bulbs over to warm (kept 2 blue so it's not too hot) ~ remembering to keep their dawn the same, stopped feeding the blood meal, and watered only water 2 x's. They are growing about 1-2" per day!!!! SOOOOO EXCITED
!!!!! Planning on feeding 1 tbsp Grandmas Molasses per 1 gal RO water ~ the girls should love that sweetness
Every other water I will feed some cal/mag blueberry 1/2 strength (the kind for people) and a 1/4 dose of MG Bloom Booster 15-30-15. I'm wondering if this will be a little too much nitrogen, I've heard nitrogen is not necessary in flower, but we shall see! The plant I spilled too much blood meal in hasn't had any leaves fall of yet, YAY! It's growing like CRAZY and starting to stretch but still very green towards the bottom. Temps here past few days are in the single digits at night however grow seems to maintaining 59 deg. at the lowest. Usually their night temps are around 62 and around 78-82 during their daytime which is 5pm to 5am! Sometimes I worry that between 5am and 5pm they may get chilly in there, but I dare not look and let light in. So when the lights come on at 5 pm I open the closet and it's been 59 in there a few times but never lower than that.

Changed light setup a bit to be able to adjust on a day to day basis - hung small chain across closet with adjustable chains in between going across. I'm using binder clips from staples to hang the lights on and it's working out GREAT so far. I'm able to move a light to anywhere when I ever I want with a single position and clip!

I really totally did not expect all 3 females and I hope I have enough space....height is not a problem, it's just that when I fimmed and topped they branched out and bushed like crazy and I'm only working with about 4 ft long by 3 ft wide!

White hairs popping out all over the place on 2 of my ladies. Only a few on one of them (hope it's not a hermie)! Other than that they seem to be doing well. I'm doing by best to not overfeed or overwater (it can be very hard sometimes) but I'm doing it!

It's so wonderful to be able to control the growth of this totally awesome plant...to watch it, and to nurture it. And most importantly, to provide the medicine my father needs to help keep him strong - against his battle with cancer. I thank you Mary Jane!
