Algae?

So i have an aeroponics setup going on, and i dont have covers on the net pots (the plants i have in them are all seedlings so they arent tall enough to make it over the rim so that i could put a cover on it if that makes sense) and the rockwool/the jiffy plug things (soil) they are in have green algae growing all over the tops of them.

What should i do???

do the same thing with mylar. Only thing you can do to kill algae is h2o2. If you are only getting it on the top of your cubes this is the light hitting it as you say. Cover them & perhaps flush with a high concentration of h2o2.

GrowTech

stays relevant.
Additionally remember to clean your reservoir out with a 10% bleach solution when you get the opportunity. And keep the danged reservoir covered!

Thanks for all the advice, and what concentration of h2o2 do you suggest? if you go to my journal and look at the pics you can see how big the res is. Also if anyone else has comments etc. about my grow leave em in the journal. Thanks again

Yeah I got a lot of this on my rockwool cubes - just covered mine with mylar
as suggested above. Algae is a plant so no light = no photosynthesis = no algae.
