Thanks, i read that you take out everything below the net so that's what i did :)
I've realised that you get more growth directly below the bulb so next time i need the sides to be taller than the middle when i flip to 12/12 and that should mean a more even canopy after the stretch. It's all a learning curve but it's fun :)
 
Does your ak48 have a strong smell? Nirvana says the smell is "penetrating" mine didn't have a strong smell and I would not it consider "penetrating" at all. It is real good herb though, I have been smoking this ak48 everyday for about a year and I have not built up a tolerance at all, gets me really high.
How long did you veg and what size is the grow cab/screen? Also how many times did you top it? I'm getting ready to do the same thing with the same strain and light. 7ish days in now.

No real smell to it yet but its only been flowering for 2 weeks so i'm hoping it will come.
It was vegged for 10 weeks from seed and topped a few times to keep it from getting too tall in the veg chamber while i was waiting for my flower cupboard to become empty :)

My flower cupboard is 37" x 28" x 72" although with the light and ducting etc my usable height is around 48", that would keep the tops 16" from the light.
 
Very very nice scrog. I gotta get my below net canopy looking like yours. That plant looks nice and healthy. Cant wait to see the progress. Make sure you keep updating us and maybe do a smoke report after harvest.
 
Thanks :) It goes against everything you've just been doing for the veg period of trying to grow her nice and big to then turn the cutters on her and chop it all off but trust me she doesn't mind at all, mine stalled for maybe 2 days and then she was off growing again :D
 
Earlier ipot asked what size my cupboard was so i thought today i would take a photo of it :)

As you can see the left side is for cutting/veg and the right for flowering, the space below the veg side is where i keep the nutes etc and the space above is for the fan thats cools the cooltube. Extraction is to the right of the flowering side and is handled by a 5" rvk fan that is hooked up to a temp controller. Intake is passive for both sides.

There is a 250w mh on the left and a 600w hps on the right both run off sunmaster 600w dimmable electronic ballasts.

My 1st grow was super iced grapefruit and that is a big yielder too and was ready at 9 weeks from 12/12, if i can get similar results with the ak48 i will be very happy :)

What was the yield from yours?

I pulled 6 1/2 zips per plant, grown in soil, in 3 gallon pots. Prob weren't even 3 ft tall.

It's too difficult to tell exactly, but your yield is gonna be awesome.

what did your ak smell like? did it have a strong smell or almost none at all? im trying to figure ot if i just got a smelless pheno or what.

Nope, mine were also pretty low odor strains, but def a bit fruity on the plant. After a nice dry and cure though, they had a really nice earthy molasses like smell, and still had a bit of that fruitiness.
 
I am diggin your cabinet! very clean!! The canopy on that looks perfect!!!!

FYI-- My AK-48 doesn't smell much just sitting there but if you bump a flower the smell is wonderful!! Very fruity!!! Same with the flavor....

Thanks mate :) I am finding the same thing ... no smell unless you touch her then you get a nice fruity smell that really lingers on your arm or clothes :)
