The real question is, am I ready? Give me your opinion: Cut it or leave it? She just keeps spitting white hairs out of the very top of her colas!

First indoor grow, day 72 of 12/12, vegged for one month. Started flush two weeks ago. The sample in the picture was clipped yesterday.
-Botannicare Organic nutrients (Pro Grow, Pro Boom, Cal-Mag)
- FFOF soil
-18"x18"x48" tent
-100w LED, 150w HPS
- LST'd since week 3 of veg.
-If I was to give an estimate, I would say 98% cloudy/<2% clear
-Pics of harvest will be posted!

wait for it to stop putting out white hairs, then keep an eye on trichs. you're real close on some of them, but a few looks like they need a couple weeks.

i dont know much about autoflowering but if its more of an indica i would wait for the trichomes to be more amber. if its a sativa which i dont think it is but in general you could cut it while its more cloudy. the amber trichs provide the more narcotic, stoney high

Beautiful grow! I just cut down my AK-48 last week, she was my first grow. She vegged for 5-6 weeks and flowered for ~80 days. And at harvest I swear she was still spitting out white pistil growth on top, and her trichs never really went amber... definitely cloudy, but not a lot of amber... I have pics of her if you're interested, search my posts. I have most of the stuff in jars for curing now, and the trichs are not looking much more amber, though all the pistils have become very orange. Granted I don't have a microscope, and am only using a 30x lighted loupe (which does an OK job, but definitely leaves me wanting a microscope!)

Anyways, I don't know what others' experience is with AK-48, and the amber/not-so-amber trichs, and seemingly endless white pistil growth, but I would say that you are very close to the ideal time to cut her, another week or 11 days...

does AK 48 always take so long to flower? I have a room full of them now and have been led to believe that they were ready about 55 days from first flower formation.

I ran a pure ak run last time, its supposed to be pure ak48. it runs about 55 -60 days. i usally don't count till i see them show. ... i had a bagseed sativa dom strain that was like 80 days run and never got amber trich's but was brain melting!!

Nice plants dude, my AK-48's looked just like that, they really respond to the lst. I did notice that both times I grew them they started spitting out new pistils at around 55 days, I also thought they were supposed to finish fast but my master kush was done way before them. They are a nice smoke and easy grow though, good job

I'm also growing Ak48s at the moment, 5th week flowering. According to the description, the flowering time is 7-8 weeks.
Im surprised it took longer for you guys.

Now Im confused, how will I know when I only have 1 week left? So i can stop feeding the bloom nute and just go with water?

You could go by the colour of the trichs...

One of the best smokes I've ever had, finished mine in early June and I'm now enjoying smoking it. Two things I've done wrong, I only vegged it for four weeks and stopped feeding nutes two weeks before harvest, never again.

Awesome job btw.
