I recently purched the Agromax Pure UV for my setup. I am currently in week 2 of flower. Is it safe to use this in week 2, if so what time schedule should i be doing? I have a total of 4 Pure UV bulbs going ATM on timer for 6 hours but it was damaging some of the leaves. Can someone with experience with this bulb help me please!

i use mine (1 2 footer) for 15 mins on per hour. and about 2 feet away from the plant. if not, it will melt your leaves.

do you use it the whole flower cycle or just the last few weeks?
after the stretch is over til the end.

be careful working around it too. it will give you sunburn and mess your eyes up too. i turn it off if i'm gonna be in the room.

are you guys using these to take some 17 percent and turn it to 20? or some 27 to 30? i dont see a point tbh? unless its taking some 20 percent to 30 then why use it? get some good plants?

The ones that have UVB the glass blocks most of it from being used. These agromax Pure UV 75%UVB / 25%UVA bulbs are insanely powerful. I could visually see a noticeable difference in the leaves I just wish they gave clear direction on using this bulb without damaging ur plants.

Yes. Use it on a seperate timer for a few minutes on each hour and keep it a few feet off the canopy.

Hey, i know the thread's a bit old, maybe not old enough to be forgotten!

I've been looking lately at trying to integrate UVB light into my grows.

Im really interested to get to know how your grow did with the Agromax tubes; amount of crystals? potency? smell? taste? yield? etc...

Is the difference visible ? or not worth it ?

Thanks for letting us know

Oh and more one thing, any idea where to get the Agromax UV lights online in Europe ?

I contacted HTG (where I bought my Agromax Pure UV bulb) today. The guy on the phone said to run it the whole time the rest of my lights are on throughout flowering. I was blown away cause I dont think he has any clue what hes talking about. My apologies if I am wrong, but it sounded like terrible advice.

Terrible advice indeed. 1-3hrs per light cycle depending on distance and plant tolerance. And not 1-3hrs all at once. Use them for a few minutes/hr and increase a little at a time untill you find an amount that you and your plants are happy with.

From what I read in an old book, I think it was mel brooks

"three ten minute exposures during peak hours of daytime" Is a great rule of thumb for uv treatments. This guy was using sun tanning bed / facial tanning equipment which I'd bet is similar.

that would to me mean. 12/12... peak is 12'th hour.. so 11th, 12th, and 13th hour get each a 10 minute dosage of uv
