HAHAHA, nah man, it's straight. He was being lazy, but I still think we should help out anyway.

What's the point in being negative towards him. It'll be easier to help and teach him the right way to do it, than to just snub him off and let him to continue to do it.

adding the airstone adds oxygen to the solution, it aerates as the name suggests. roots need water/nutrients/oxygen. airstone adds to the latter. also later on the AG's life the drippers that drip at the base of the plant can lead to stem and possibly root rot. having the airstones at this time is crucial to aerate the solution/roots, giving you the ability to turn off the main AG pump and prevent said rot from occuring.

(see everybody i'm helpful!! not just a hater!!)

Haha yeah dude nobody thinks you're a hater. Theres a pretty big difference between this guys post and that last dude's. This one actually encourages a positive response. And your response is perfect.

Only tip I might add is to go with multiple small airstones as opposed to one large one. Allows them to be placed in the deepest parts of the reservoir and provide better all-over coverage. Good luck with the grow man!

Yeah, this dude is actually trying to learn something, not "I need all the answers given to me, now!!!!"

He broke a rule too,

No Cross-Posting
Do not post the same discussion more than once on a discussion forum or on many forums. Duplicate discussions are frustrating and counterproductive for other members, especially for those whose time and energy is limited. Duplicate discussions will be deleted.

If you don't mind me asking why autos? You could have gotten way better genetics for the same price.

The idea sounds great but when you sit down and think about what a ruderalis hybrid strain is you will realize that its pretty much worthless.

Now, from the get go you know that ruderalis plants have virtually no THC, so a ruderalis hybrid just by principle will not be as dank as a plain indica/sativa

Autoflowering strains start flowering on their own when they are ready, no matter what the lighting cycle is.

There is no veg period, they go from seedling to flowering.

You can achieve the same thing if you just 12/12 from seed, straight into flower.

No need to incorporate crappy genetics into your strain if you don't have to.

The only real reason to get an auto would be for outdoors, thats the only thing they really have to offer.

Plant size is controllable, there are tons of 45-55 day flowering plants out there if you want a quick harvest.

P.S. I'm not trying to come off like an asshole, just trying to share the knowledge.

I understand where you're coming from Lurk, I didn't really want to have to, but I wasn't in the mood at the time to search for one that was a really short harvest. I just ordered something.

After this grow I will only have 2 1/2 to 3 months til I move.

I'm also a very bad impulse purchaser. "Oh, that looks like its cool, lets get that!!!"

Bad, bad things happen when I do that...:eyesmoke:

Alex, it's ok, we understand. <<<"can we get some help with this psycho???"

Yea man I know I do the same shit lol.

I bought a bigger pump for my aero system when I was at petsmart buying dog food, ended up returning it because it wasn't even the right size fittings anyways. I was like omfg 597 GPH I NEED THIS. (not)

If its going to be a really tight timeframe like that, I know that you want to get another grow in, but its probably not going to be worth the effort, you might end up having to chop them early anyways that would suck if your good beans got wasted that way.

Those beans definitely have way more value for another usage though, you can do an outdoor grow any time of the year without worrying about it finishing in time, all you have to worry about is the weather.

One of the quickest flowering plants I have ever stumbled upon, and for how quick it is, seems like it might be worth growing for the smoke too, maybe next grow. =p

There are a few others that are pretty quick too.

Afghan related and alot of sensi skunk mixes are 45 days flowering too.

Autos lure alot of people in, but for the wrong reasons.

I'm sure you will definitely put those seeds to good use in your ag with all those extra cfls though =]

AK-47 is a sativa dom strain

&& cant wait for more progress on this current grow =]

Damn fox man i wish you would have said sumthin before you got em,,i cant agree with lurk any better, The genetics of the strain is the first thing i look at...like you got a brand new FERRARI or this twin-turbo japanese super car the first thing you gonna want to do is look under the hood to see what this BEAST is pushin,,same with buying seeds.
For you i would suggest just a feminized INDICA.But you should do good with the autos...i was thinking about getting some but i did research and saw how "unstable" those can be.

Yeah, I really wish I would have done more research on it before I made the decision, but oh well. Can't do much about it now, it'll just be more experience racked up! Gotta look on the positive side.

Either way, it'll still be fun. I hope it turns out at least decent.

Thanks for the support though, I appreciate it.

Ok, so I'm attempting to cancel my order with attitude. Hopefully this will pull through. I feel really dumb for making this mistake, but I guess I'm still a newb, it happens.

If it doesn't work, then fine. If it does, then what do you all suggest I should get? Should I get a sativa strain and do it 12/12 from seed?
