Afghanistan, can any war be won?

More british troops killed....

War is Cruelty.
There is no use trying to reform it.
The Crueler it is the sooner its over.

yeah, war will be won when all people have become apathetic. then our fearless leaders can really get their agenda rolling.

we are fighting a belief, these people have next to nothing and they believe they are protecting their homeland and brotherhood.

yet days ago in the national news gordon brown declares that the army must make more cut backs to pay for 20 odd chinook helicopters that we needed years ago.

if it was up to me I would be out tomorow!

Me too, we lived through terrorism for decades with Ireland, there is no difference now.

ditto. the IRA were a lot more imminent and personal a threat the British citizens. They almost got Thatcher that time in Brighton, got enough of them to make a difference. All the politicians and most of the media were calling it an "attack on democrary" when quite clearly it was an attack on the milk snatcher and the UK as an occupying force in Northern Ireland. Sounds familiar doesn't it.
