Im guessing they are under a few cfl's? If so you are going to need more light, i suggest taking a trip to your nearest store and looking for some more cfl bulbs to add extra light. Remember, the more light you have the better your plants will fill out. To answer your original question i'd give them about another 2-3 weeks before you really start noticing a spurt in growth, during this period they are in the veg stage of life and will be using all the light they can.

Thats not going to be enough light especially since the light is an incadescent, its putting out way to much heat and not enough light.

It looks like your fixture can fit about 2 cfls in it not counting the lamp that currently occupied (You should really replace it with a cfl also), you should go to the store (Walmart is fine) and pick up 2-3 (Or however many you can fit in your grow space) cfl's and put them into your grow space. Im not going to get too technical on the spectrum range of the lights since its your first grow and im sure it'd sound like gibberish to you so i'd just say pick up whatever brand of cfl lights you want, just make sure you buy 23 watt bulbs as these are pretty decent for a first time grower. 100 watts should be fine for vegging and flowering but your yield is going to be very low and not as potent as you might expect but if its just for some extra personal smoke than i think you'll enjoy it.

i have one 23wt cfl spiral light and im growing 3 plants under it...i know unbelievable right lmfao but im telling you...check out my grow journal bc we kinda having the same problem they've been planted exactly 8days now i have them on 18/6 9pm-3am and there not showing any nodes or branches popping out but my trainwreck and k-train are suppose to be long plants so idk if there stretching or there just growing normally but my light isnt putting out enought light but neither is yours......so i would deff say change the soil with vinegar if you absolutely have too and bring the water ph down....but you should post more pics and tell us more abt your set up bc normal tap water is fine for watering plants

Pots are too small and your grow space is very minimal, i'd suggest finding a cabinent or something else to grow in if you can.

Potman, not being a dick, but you are doing this all a bit backwards and you may want to purchase some literature on horticulture before proceeding. There is a lot you need to be educated on, and there is way too much BS here on the net. Jorge Cervantes makes a good one, lots of pretty pictures and factual information, as well as educated opinions. That's how most of us learned the basics.

i use 23watt and i wanted to switch to 150watt but you said yield is gunna be low not as potent so should i just get a bunch of 23 or switch to 100-150 and just get like 3 of them one ontop two on the sides...towards the top so they make a little "V"

backlights not doing anything its my first grow but im doing an experiment with the light to prove how much it means to 2 different strains but i wanna see if i can compentsate for the light in the flowering stage to see if i can shock my plant
