Afghan Kush Ryder - WTF lets SEED ONE

The seeds I put in the pucks are not popping up yet. Today I put 3 seeds between some napkins. Somethings gotta pop.
 
hey highlow, hope all is well, i just wanted to thank you again and ask you personally to please keep this thread going, i am VERY interested to see if u get all females, i grew easy ryder (ak47xlowryder) and afghan kush ryder as well and loved both strains, the easyryder wasnt as potent but the yields were amazing (4oz per plant with 600w hps) and the afghan didnt yield as much but the bud was exponetially better. i would be glad to hear this worked, as i said before, i will be watching this thread, good job.
 
So now I believe seeds need a drying out period. I put 4 in pucks and 4-5 on a paper towel. A couple germed on the paper towel, I planted them, and nothing.

I started these 5 a couple days ago in an unscented, unmarked paper towel. 5 out of 5 germed.

One or two will go to the party cup grow.

Hope you got a fem crop. Would be awesome considering how much they charge for AKR auto fem seeds, and the fact that they don't sell males to prevent people from making their own.
 
Here are those 5 AKR seeds I germed last week. A couple are a little slow but they are coming along.

FFOF in the bottom 1/2 then filled up with top soil. Pic bottom left is 100% FFOF.

I was stupid enough to throw away 50+ seeds last year because I didn't know they needed to dry out, the towel trick was the only thing that worked.
Anyway, great thread, thanks for letting us know about the spray.
 
Yesterday I transplanted from the solo cups into 1 gallon containers with FFOF. One of the seedings faded away so now we have 4.

My 400 is currently busy so I have these under a few CFLs. This is the box I used to grow the seeded AKR. Before I placed these in there, I sprayed the inside with bleach water to kill any pollen that might still be lurking around.

These will go under the 400 in ~2 weeks. Won't be long now. For simplicity, I have these CFLs on 24/0.
 
I'm curious to see if these turn female which I would think they would, since basically they should genetically be a direct copy of the plant you hit with that stuff!!
 
Nothing to really update. Just wanted to check in. No sign of sex yet. I always seem to have a runt in the group.

These will go under the 400 in a week.

Quick update. The two taller plants are for sure female. I would expect the other two to show within 3-5 days. They are a few inches smaller. Here's a pic of one of the taller ones.
