Afghan Gold....outdoor concerns

Hi, my father and I are new growers. We popped our outdoor growing cherry with afghan gold seeds, apparently they are easy. Harvesting season is supposed to be late september early october, possibly even earlier. Everything seem to be going well. We have four plants that appear to be female, and two happened to be pushing 7 feet! Which brings us to our first concern...is this too tall? If all the energy is being focused on growing the plant in length....will their be enough energy allocated to produce nice, lushes, sticky budz? (drool....). Our second and most important concern is that the pistils, which have been evident for the last 3 weeks or so...have started to brown? is this also reason for concern? Please somebody help! I'm really hopeful this father-son experiment works and come fall ill be able to smoke some homegrown organic bud. Thanks alot,

Below are some pictures of my first outdoor grow. They have started flowering. However, two were growing to tall that i had to cut the tops of their stems or else the neighbours could see them. Will they then flower from additional leaves?

They should do fine. Look up "Supercropping" (search RIU), you could drastically bend the stems instead of cutting them, next time.

I cut some like you did couple of times this year..... don't worry.

One funny aside, a guy I know said he had 18 plants going, so i figure he's got a handle on growing..

So me being a jerk, gave him 2 Santa Cruz Blue Dream clones (for Free), he puts them outside and they grow 6 feet tall ans 5 feeet across.

haha.. He'll have to deal with it, but he'll have a hell of a harvest.

Good Luck :joint::peace:

Plus Rep+ to you for asking for advice.
