this is Bobbert again.
My aerogarden is in my bedroom. I have a fan, use general hydropnics, Maxi-Gro, keep the ph at 6. or 6.2 have an extra atinic light(like the sun),use a little hydrogen peroxide to help on bacteria, what else can I do? This is bull-crap! I spent 150.00 bucks for this thing. I want growth!!!!!!!

Can you post a pic that might help?
Maybe try to lower the ph a bit to 5.5-6.
I dont think you need the hydrogen peroxide so maybe leave that out just ,cover the other holes so no light gets in.
What the temp? not getting too high or too low?
Are you using full strength nutes if so cut it down to 1/4 strength or none at all till it gets going.
Are the leaves just turning yellow or is there some other problem with them?
Maybe buy a air pump and stone to go in there they love that.

This is my first time too but i'll tell you what i've done so far. I started with good quality fresh seeds from a friend with a "greenhouse". Since then i've just tried to keep it simple. No fans, no extra lighting, just fresh distilled water and nutrients. Now that they are 12" high i have switched cycles to flower and will be switching to better nutrients. there is not a 12/12 cycle on the aero so i use the tomato setting now. i just manually turn the lights off after 12 hours. the pump on this cycle runs for 20 hours. for germination process i used the herb setting and it worked great.

Get a replacement plug from Radio Shack (about 8 bucks) and plug the lights into your timer . Your life will be simpler. Pretty sure that info was in Teks original AG info. I don't know what happened to him & Pat but I sure miss their imput.

I know this thread is a little old, but I just ran across it today after getting my hands on an AG at Bed Bath & Beyond. Just wanted to drop the word on the fact the AG is in those stores. Go get 'em. I know someone that got theirs for free too.

dadankstank, in order for a good diagnosis of your patients, we need a comprehensive rundown of what your setup consists of. The obvious questions are, ph, temp, ppm, stage of growth, strain, etc. Next time you have any problems just post all that from the get go and you'll save yourself some time and some stress instead of just watching them get worse!

A word of wisdom, in order to get a plant to grow to it's fullest potential, one must assess it's climate and tweak it to optimal levels. This is especially true in your case, you need to know your stats. Too high of a ph could aid in root rot development, or a high humidity could invite unwanted mold! The aerogarden is a great entry level setup for one (or two... it's debatable) plants, however, one should never walk in a minefield with swimming fins, a ppm meter is a must! Without this modern marvel of technology, one is simply taking part in an old game of poking in the dark. In the words of Leon from Curb Your Enthusiasm, "I'm out dis bitch, peace!"

You know what would rule? AG growing step by step. Or does that already exist? I'm a newby to growing and this would be extremely helpful.

feminized shiva,
43 DAYS FROM SEED DAY 13 12/12
additional 150 watt 400 eq full spectrum cfl, all the other goodies, the aerogarden seriously got clogged due to the fox farms big blooms, does anyone know of another aerogarden friendly substitue, also the burns on the ladies are from wacky ph before i took apart the entire aerogarden and cleaned the shit out of the water table thingy. low flow or off and on makes your pump eventually die, now everything is clear and the ph is good. more updates soon! already starting to see little puffs on top.

ha this is funny..with in the next week or soo i will do you guys an aero gardening the right way.. a full web dairy the right way for dummys...i dont see why noy one could pull a zip or 2 or more from an aero garden done with scroging...

i have some extra clones of sensi star laying around...first off...you shouldnt be using seeds in an aero garden!!!!! you dont have the space to sex them and its takes wayy too fucking long. i have seen pics where there growing up to the light and shading out the rest of the plant..this is noo good....use clones ..and all you would need to 2 to 3...and set up a screen at about 7 inchs and keep weaving in and out of the screen with the plants and then switch to bud when they fill up 3/4 of the screen....

Orrrr use all 7 spots on the aero garden and grow your plants to 7 inchs high and they flower...they will get at max 15 to 19 inchs.... and you will have some huge single terminal buds..i dont see why people arent doing this,.,,

i have had the ag for about 4 days now and all the seeds have germinated. I am using the super grow setting. I leave the pump going 24/7 and leave the lights on from 9am to 1AM--is this light setting ok? I also have 2 of the nutrients tablets from the kit in the water along with a small amount of voodoo juice.-any advie would be great....o they are all about 1 inch high with the roots alreay in the tank water --4 days.:joint:

The tablets are no good. Instead learn to ph the water yourself, then add nutrients. The tablets ph and add nutrients but they are too strong for mj and people on here have had trouble with them.

hey tek, would it be too much to ask for you to post a step-by-step guide on how to successfully grow pot with the ag? I know that i could probobly find all the information in the forums but that would take a while.

1.Nutrients....Hydroponic type preferrably.your choice(FOx farm , General hydroponics....)
2.Aquarium Airpump +airstone.........adds more oxygen to water for roots. it is a 1gallon tank on the aerogarden....so whatever one you want.
3.figure8 extension cord + simple dial type timer........for light on the unit to be able to get 12/12 setting needed for flowering.radioshack type stuff.the kind of plug on a playstation 1or2 right...
4.do your homework on aeroponics in general.
5.read thru GrowFAQ on this page for more very helpful tips.

Get a fish tank pump and an aerator... put it in the water... when the air bubbles pop they mist your roots :hump: I did this and also put tin foil down over the platform... My plants are looking awesome! :peace:
I used your idea about the pump. Put two lines with air stones into the tank. I have mylar coming.
