A couple of questions. I apologize for not putting up my pictures yet. They will be coming soon.

What is too high for ambient temperature inside of my cab? High so far hit 87 degrees last night.

Also, what should I run the aerogarden on to keep the pump running? I have it set to salad greens right now and i have the airstone installed as well.

Waiting for some germination...
87 sounds kind of high.

If you could drop that 10 degrees that would be perfect.

Do you have a fan in there? or blowing into it?

There is a link to the pump settings in the first post.

Is anybody having any problems with their pH slowly raising throughout the week? I'm gettin kinda tired of dumpin this dam water. It goes too high to safely use a pH down. The water I use is distilled and is perfect when I put it in there. I'm using half dosages of BC nutes and 2 5inch air stones. I wonder if its the air stones? But shit they're for fish tanks, you'd think they'd be safe. Any Ideas?

im not sure, the pH kit you have is made for hydroponics, its not going to hurt the plants, your just wasting water...

I doubt its the airstones..

but if you think it is, you can soak them in a tub or something and check the pH after a few hours. (and obviously check the pH before hand)

There is never a time when you can't use pH down.

If the pH is 7.0 in 1 gallon, 10 drops should lower it to 6.0

I would say its the nutes that are raising it.

Do you premix your nutes or put them directly into your res?

I always check my pH before I put it into my res.

sup guys, im following this thread really carefully as it is my first grow. But im having a few problems right now!
I know there is threads about growing problems, but Id like to be sure im doing the rights things.

So im growing white whidow, with a AG elite plus, added 2 CFL 42W. 6500 K , one airstone+pump, and the figure 8 cord+timer.
18/6 right now, and on third week of growing. Added my first nute tab last week.
Problem is, tips of the leaves are getting brown and very dry.. plant itself is going yellow. (4 out of 6 actually)
Could it be nute burn ? What should I do ? Empty rez and fill it up with only water ? Roots looks fines..

Sry for my bad english, couldnt find any other forums for french talk... ;) Works for me.. getting me some practice!
Thx for this very useful thread, I love growing stuff so far, it's very addictive ! Well i'd love to see my plants healthier though... Oh well.. gotta learn !

EDIT : Just added one picture of my setup, but my goddam camera just died for unknown reasons... Couldnt get any closer pictures of plant.. $&!&?@"!$!
Screw you Canon, you suck.
Even that pic look shitty.. wtf.

Dam, hell yea. I didn't realize thats how the pH down works (ratiowise). But yea originally I was putting the nutes directly into the res but then started just mixin it in a bottle and adding as needed. Im thinkin it might've been the air stones though cuz since the last rinseing my pH levels have been str8. They might've just needed to be flushed out a couple of times (i hope). Imma keep an eye on it either way. Thanx for the input though, all this shit helps out a lot.

Empty rez and fill it up with only water ?

empty the water, let them sit for a couple days, are you checcing the pH?

Sweet deal, I can edit posts from as long ago as I want now, I added a line about dissolving ag nute tabs in the nutrient section.

well, when i changed my water, i used a water bottle and all i did was crush up the tabs, and put into the bottle, cap it off, and swirl around untill everything is fully dissolved, then add into the rez, ok, pH is kinda key, but the tabs buffer the pH as well, they will be fine man, its a big waiting game

You should lower your lights too... looks like you got some stretching going on.... 3-4 inches is ideal. oh and pH is CRUCIAL!!! From what I've noticed anyway....

If you have fixtures and mounting for all of them, shit.. just use them all through the whole grow, lol.

Naw, the 6500K gives off light in the blue spectrum which is for veggin. The 2700K is in the red spectrum which is for use during budding/flowering. I dont think you're supposed to use them at the same time. And besides, that's alot of damn lights aint it?

LOL! Hell yea that's whats up. But yea definitely use the lights for their specific stages. Its suppose to generate denser buds that way. I just ordered both spectrums too a couple days ago. Cant wait for them shits to come in.
