You don't have to send us a link to your gallery...we can just click on your gallery. But, you CAN post your pics as an attachment in your thread reply if you do an actual reply (i.e. don't do a quick reply). BTW those plants look small for 6 weeks. You should also cover those holes so light doesn't get in the resevoir. :blsmoke:

good point. i should probably put them in some dirt or clean out the tank. i dont want their growth to be stunted. i just figured that they were doing well since there were no dead leaves

yes, used hormone powder
slit down middle of stem and scraped the outer layer off a bit with razor blade
dip in powder and put in pod
cut fan leaves about half off each tips and or remove what needs to be
dont reccomend taking more than 1/3 off any plant at one time
cover with plastic cup opaque clearish cups are cheap
took me a week and roots came pouring out
cut clones to match the cup you get of course
good luck:peace:

hello, glad I found this post. I just purchased the aerogarden, bought online waiting for delivery along with seeds. I have read so much about growing in general but not alot about actual aero, I mean specifics. So this is great as I am going for 1st grow here and wanted to keep it simple. at worse the wife will have a herb garden. but i refuse to fail or pay for it again so I am highly motivated or buzzed but defenetely one of the two.

In my aerogarden attempt I started with no nutes, and after 1 week used Fox Farm Grow Big, instant boom in growth and color, its a really nice green. After 3 weeks of growing the plants are about 10-12 inches, the plan is to switch to flowering when it reaches 15 inches and use Fox Farm's Tiger Bloom. So far it has been fast, but we'll see how it ends up...

While digging through some old computer crap I had laying around, I came across this cable, which is a perfect match for the Aerogarden lamp hood, just as Vand had figured out. I figured other people would want to know more info about this kind of cord, so ..

The name for this kind of connector end is called a "figure eight", and is a pretty common type of cord from what it seems. Nothing crazy or propriatary.

Here is a link to purchase the cable from any Radio Shack in your local area:
RadioShack.com - Power & Batteries: Extension & power cords: 6-Ft. AC Power Cord

Also, they have a simple appliance timer there too that you'll need so you can set the light cycle for flowering:
RadioShack.com - Home & Office: Clocks & watches: Mini Plug-In Lamp/Appliance Timer

I walked out of RadioShack for less than $20, and everything is working beautifully with the base unit set to "salad greens" (which keeps the nutrients/pumps running 24/7) , and set the timer to set the lights on an 18/6 cycle.
There is a way to get all that and more, for free! All you have to do is call aerogrow direct tell them that you need an extention kit and in six day to your door you get a hood with threr lights and ext. rod and cord pritty cool and its for free!

You can get a new setup for extended growth space just by calling aerogrow and they will send you an upgrade in lights and in the shaft and cord for free or call 1800-223-3724 and the have just the arm and cord for $24.00 not bad but they go quick real quick
