has anybody tried a scrog in the aerogarden? i am gonna go for it with mine this grow and i was looking to see if anybody had experience with this. it seems like a great idea to me to maximize your surface area in this thing and just have your plants sprawling out on it.
i have never tried it but i recently read up on it and it sounds like it would work..if it works for you please post it!

Hey silentgrower,

fuck the AG settings. they piss me off hahaha. anyways for veg keep it on 24/7 and make sure you have an airstone to keep the water movin. when the time comes for flowering, buy a timer and hook the AG to it. put the timer on 12/12 and leave the AG on 24/7 lighting. The timer will take care of turning the AG on and off. ive been using general hydroponics floragrow, floramicro and flora bloom. they usually all come together when purchasing but make sure. you need all three. so for veg you use 3 grow, 2 micro and 1 bloom. this is in teaspoons per gal. and for flowering you do the opposite. 3 bloom, 2 micro, and 1 grow. i havent experimented with other nutes but i think i might try the Canna nutes since the guy above said they are good. :) also when your plant is young you want to do half doses of nutes until they can handle the full dose. usually at 2-3 weeks they are strong enough. if your germinating the seend in the AG dont use any nutes until the plant is about 2-3 weeks old and just use distilled water. i hope this helps. good luck!

ok i went ahead and got an airstone and pump but is kinda big about 4 inches in diameter and flat like a plate. can i overdue it with these things? how long was the timetable for your whole process? including cure and dry. the guy in hightimes said it took him 64 days with the lowrider seeds. When did you decide to flower? was is size or age? This is my first go so i have no idea what my seeds are or what my schedule should be. Im at 3 and a half weeks of 18/6 and about 5-7 inches tall. How can i increase my yields? What about pruning? Any tips or exp is appreciated.

I also read in another thread about a guy with the same nutes and got a severe allergic reaction when he smoked his bud. I heard that flushing your plants is necessary? Is this true and if so when and how long etc..

Yo Kronic C,

i had master kush clones that were about 2 weeks old. i veged them for about a month and started flowering. with some clones you can go str8 to flowering after the roots are nice n healthy. the nice thing about doing indoor hydro is that you can force flower the plant. they will be shoter but stockier with poten nugs. ur airstone is fine. the roots cant get too much O2 especially if they are submerged in water. i decided to force flower mine due to size. the AG can only handle so much. it took me 12weeks for everything: 4 veg, 8 flower. it really depends on the strain of the plant though. your just going to have to experiment and make a journal so you can go back and refer to ur past harvest and compare the differences.

remeber, the plant doubles in size from the end point of vegitation. so if your plant is 7" tall and you start flowering, it will probably be close to a 1.5' plant. take into consideration that the AG lights are not that powerfull and taller plants wont be as bushy or potent. so keep the plants short, so start your flowering soon :)

to really increase your yields, ur gonna want a HPS light. if you dont have room or good vents go with LEDs. They seem to work ok and they are cheap. LEDWholesalers.com i think. check it out.

Pruning is not needed unless the leaves look really bad (brown leaves, shrivled, ugly , u get the point) and u can cut them right at the stock. if you prun dont go crazy and cut off all the dead leaves. cut a few a day so the plant has time to recover. when the plant is flowering, try to minimize the pruning so the plant can focus on producing juicy buds :)

yeah i read that same post about the allergic reaction and not flushing the nutes ha that sucks! i wonder what happend to him. anyways dont forget to flush the nutes!!! for hydro start feeding the plant regular distilled water for the last week-week and a half. this will flush the nutes and the herb will be nice and enjoyable.

hey next time try and get a clone. if you cant get that get seeds from a reliable source so you kno what your getting

i hope this helps and if anyone has different opinions or tips, please let me know. thanks and good luck!

hey ive never done this scrog set up. how high do you set the wires and how big should the squars be? im going to be using it in my waterfarm.

the CANNA line has a produce called RHIZOTONIC.it is the best stress reducer for your plants and it helps them build a whole lot healthier root system. They are growin a little faster than when i was usin genhydro. The CANNA nutes also have a Ph buffer so you dont have a fluctuating Ph.set yourPh to what u want it, then add the nutes and i really dont have to worry bout it,B\C that is a big factor.if ur Ph is above 7 or below 5.5 some nutes r not absorbed as fast as possible.so keep a watch on that Ph daily.Tht is one of the most overlooked things of most growers.and is a big factor in the AG!

get a cardborad box, run a needle and string through te the top so u can hang them upside down in the box.lock the flaps on the box and place it in a closet or small room.open flaps to allow air ciculation as needed or cut a hole near the bottom and top of the box to allow air exchange and circulation.perfect for a small harvest.

Hey everyone, My friend' finally thinks its time to take clones from a soil grown plant thats about a foot tall now. He's got a couple open pods in his standard Aerogarden thats already housing a newly sprouted seedling. THis is the first attempt so if anyone could give any advice on the best way to go about doing this that would help alot.
peace.

VERY NICE. YOUR GOING TO NEED ROOT HORMONES AND A HUMIDITY DOME. THE HUMIDITY PROMOTES THE ROOTS TO GROW AS WELL AS THE HORMONES. UR ALSO GONNA WANT SOME ROCKWOOL SOAKED IN HORMONE SOLUTION. IF YOU LOOK UP MR GREEN ON YOUTUBE, HE WILL SHOW YOU WHAT PARTS OF THE PLANT TO CUT. YOU SHOULD WATCH THE WHOLE VIDEO, ITS VERY EDUCATIONAL:joint: HAHA GOOD LUCK!

what kinda nutes is your buddy using, if hes using the ones the AG came with you can just stick them in the pods and let them go, i know someone that has done this and it worked fine for him......6 times, no domes no rooting hormones....i would recommend them and a spray bottle keep them nice and misted

yes that is what everone of us dream!go for it feinitely.need rooting harmone gel,cut at a 45 degree angle, applt the rooting hormone gel and there you go.there is a little more to it,so,anyway... GODSPEED!and please post pics!

I use my AG mainly only for clones. And legit plants.
I use hormones, but I also broke a branch top on a plant and just stuffed it in. It took no prob and not much longer then with hormones.

Read up on cloning. Where to cut (1/4inch 6mm) below a node at a 45^ angle. Pick from low on plant. Put stem into water ASAP to prevent an embolism (air pocket) from being sucked up the stem/stalk.
Dip in hormone. put in AG. wait.

That last step *really* sucks.

I would wait until your mothers are at least 22" before i started taking clones off of them. Remember the thicker the stems of the cutting the stronger the clones. Check out ALB.'s thread on clones https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/15030-batch-clones-rockwool.html. Check out my grow and you can see how large they should be in the AG.
