Advice on when to flower & monster cropping

So the current set up I have is a 4’ 8 bulb (54watts each) 40,000 lummen T-5 light on an 18/6 light schedule. I’m currently using 3 gallon fabric pots with happy frog/ocean forest blend. Have been vegging 2 months (3 green crack) and 3 from monster cropping clones from previous grow bag seed (which tasted damn good) and yes I mean monster cropping not super cropping.

My question is when should I flower? (I have about 4-5 feet of head room left)

Has anyone had any experience with monster cropping and flowering? Any advice, comments, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

And out of curiosity if I choose to flower right now what kind of harvest weight would be plausible for this set up? (I know that involves many factors but what have other people gotten from a similar set up)

Obviously the end decision is totally up to you but my .02 is that you may want to let the plants fill out your screen mire while you watch and tuck the growth before you flip to flower.
You say you have 4-5ft room left, how tall are the plants already?

Monsters don't stretch. Be prepared to thin bud. I would let them get as big as possible. Nice looking plants. That's one industrial strength SCROG.

In my experience fluorescent lights don't produce very dense buds, I would recommend changing to HID lighting for flower.

Good luck

Monsters don’t stretch during flowering? And do you mean the buds will be thin? Lol yea I had some extra 2x4’s that kept getting in the way so tried to put them to good use :)

I would like to switch to hid for flowering however the heat is what worries me due to no where to put ducting out. I’ve been very curious if I do stick to T5 lighting for flowering would it actually help bud development if I switched to a 2300-2500k (red light spectrum) vs flowering with 6500k (blue typically used for veg)

No buds are so thick you won't believe it. 15413637066053604842440836825203.jpg

This is a flowering clone of Nacho. Monstercropping. I just potted 6. Not big at all. The yield should be big.

The soy sauce is not a growers secret. I live in a one room cabin. It's for fried rice et .

I figured if the buds get a bit to heavy I’d just use a support stick to prop it up. How tall do you let your monstercropped clones get to before switching over to flower? And do you defoliate?

I have to thin buds. There's just too many. I let them get about a foot tall. Much more and it gets nuts with multiple plants. Next run I'm going to throw a screen up to SCROG them.

You happen to have more pictures of a flowering monstercropped plant? (Gives me a bit more of an idea what to expect. I have 3 monstercropped plants that are about 2ft tall right now so I’m curious how this will turn out. Also I read that taking clones from a monster isn’t a good idea as yield will decrease drastically..... do you have any experience in that as well?

I don't take many pics honestly. This is my 3rd run of flowering clones. The monstercrop plants throw tons of buds on wispy stems. No need to top. But the stems in my case are not the best for cloning for a substantial plant. If you have the light and good air movement you will not be disappointed in the least. Not donkey dick colas but lots of good size solid buds.
