Advice on lighting

I currently have an LED that can switch between veg and bloom. I bought it not knowing about all the different things that go into choosing a light (yes like a newb!). Any recommendations for quality lights would be awesome. I only plan on growing 2 plants at a time in a small grow tent, so I’m not looking for something massive. Thanks and happy growing!

You can get 320 watts of high quality led for around $250 if you can put it together. Super simple. (4) HLG QB120's QB 120 for about $150 shipped to your door. Don't forget to use the code RIU10 for the 10% discount. Get an HLG-320H-C2800A Driver for about $100 shipped. My local hardware store carries 16ga solid wire for less than 25 cents a foot. I mounted my driver outside the cabinet so I spent maybe $5 on wire. I built a frame out of 1x3's, maybe $6 for 2 at the local hardware store or lumber yard (furring strips are cheaper) Then you'll need a simple plug to wire to the driver and your golden. It sound like a lot of stuff to source, but it couldn't be easier to put together. I can send you pictures and give you advice, and HLG has excellent customer service if you have questions. Theyre right here in America, and if you have any problems they are only a phone call away, and they ship fast. Top quality products, super low electricity costs, and all right here in the USA. Thats what you call a sore dick deal, you just cant beat it :blsmoke:

If my math is right a 40x40 tent is gonna have a footprint around 11 sq ft. Would put you at 29 watts/sq ft.

I've got around the same size tent and using SF2000 (400$) bit higher then your price range you can find them cheaper on alibaba but super happy with it ..runs nice a quiet and doesn't pump out alot of heat, only using a 6inch fan to keep the temp perfect
