advice for a first time lady grower

hi folks
im growing my weed with hydroponics

my equipment is
400w Dual Spectrum Grolux Grow light
nft system
110w twin Fluorescent Propagation Light
propagator
rockwool cubes

this is my first grow and i would like a bit of advice
my seeds cracked 6 days ago i used the rockwool cubes
checked my ph it was around 6.5 (ok i think) just need a few pointers

1 how close should i put the plants to the lights?

2 should the cover be still on the propagator?

3 how much should i water them and when?

4 when should i introduce them to nutrients?

5 what ratio of lighting should they be getting in a 24 hour period?

i love tests. lets see how good i can do. here we go....




1. using the 55w light, put it 2 inches away.

2. i take the cover off once root is established.

3. keep moist but not dripping wet. every couple of days(?).

4. i use "kick-start" 1-1-1 after about 2 weeks.

5. i use 24 hours on until they have established a couple sets of nodes, then switch to 18/6.

i will try that but even though the lights say a little heat only it can get very warm in there ive now added a fan to keep it a bit cooler will that help?
the cubes seem to be getting nearly dry quickly should i soak the cubes then let it run through into the propagating unit?

Rockwool cubes can appear dry even when they are not, that's the reason a lot of people use them. They retain moisture very well.

very true. only way to know a rockwool cube is dry is to pick it up.
