Ive been to a lot of hydro stores, and the workers/owners always bash advanced nutrients at every store ive been to. All the people with access to every product, seem to think a.n. Is waaay over rated.
Just another experience... Im sure the stuff is good, but is it really worth it and do they really need to make you use 13 different products?

Thats the common complaint from everyone! Why do you have to use so many different products? Well if you talk to a house and garden rep they will tell you. If you call AN they will tell you. Ive heard of people loving dynagrow becauase its an original base nutrient with everything in it and not pulled out. BUT at the same time plants require certain things at certain times. If you have a base nutrient with everything in it, the plant will only take what it needs leaving salt and additional build up. Being that AN has over 10 years of research Id say they found out what that is and at what time it needs to be added. Plus if you read there website they also tell you about how many other companies use products that are good, BUT you have to ask yourself what are they cut with? If your using a rootstimulant and the active ingrediant for that stimulant is only 3% what's the other 97%? AN, claims they have found the purest MOST BENEFICIAL forms of everything with the proper mixtures and less cutting agents, reducing uneccessary particles in your fertilizer. Therefor they are the SHIT. I used the bud blood on my white widow soil grow and it showed the sex in 3 days and my flower development is unlike any other experience Ive ever had with any other product. Not saying the other nutes dont work, but Id say AN found the hammer and hit the nail on the head.

Well my dad has been growin since I can remember and I'm up on fourty years. And I'm here to tell u an works it works well and is priced fairly compared to a lot of others. So if u base ur opinions off those of others simply cause they were there first go get urself the full an line and happy smokin. Cause I say so and have been doin it longer

i dont really have a beef with house and garden, i think their products are well worth the money and they only have half the amount of products as a.n. But with all the same ingredient for the most part. And the quality is just as good (pharmacuticle grade is as good as it gets)
i use canna personally. They have been doing plant and nutrient research fo 30 years and they also claim to have the purest grade ingredients availible in the world as well ( example: Canna has pharmacuticle grade pk ect.)
i wouldnt use a one base nutrient, but canna house & garden and many others can give you everthing you need at the times you need it and its combined into 5-7 products instead of 13... Same exact thing except you dont have to buy and mix so many things.
Bottom line: They have products seperated out when they shouldnt, and it costs you time and money.
Thats a valid a true complaint, and advanced nutrients are listening and responding... They are starting to combine their products like they should have in the first place.
Example: They stoped making 2 of thier product and combined them into what they now are calling "bud candy" .
They also have products that are very similar, like a powdered booster with npk o-30-50 and another with 1-31-52... Both of them claim to be the best booster availible along with their 12 other boosters.
Just my opinion tho. I know its still a good product, just not a fan thats all.

The guys that started house and garden were the guys doing research for canna and developing there nutes. This is not direct from the source, but from a reliable one at that. From what ive heard, one day somebody asked the guys why do you do all this research for canna and make genius nutes when you could be marketing your own and making double the money. Thats how house and garden began from my understanding and if this is true than canna is a knock off of house and garden.
For the record jberry Id say your post was the most resonable. They did combine the 2 into 1 with bud candy and every booster does claim the same thing, but without using it and perfecting it, its very hard to say that its not the best of the best. Ive used house and gardens full hydro line and cannas as well. I prefer the house and garden. yeah, i believe that is true. but that would mean that house and garden is the knock off, not canna. the man who left canna (mr.van de zwan) couldnt take his original and best recipies with him when he left because they were already under patend for canna, so mr.van de zwan had to make new recipies that were similar but obviously not his first choice.
i totally agree that h&g is the shit! the only reason i dont use them is bcuz i grow in plain coco and when you follow the h&g feeding chart it tells you to use shooting powder, and if you use shooting powder, that means you cant re-use the coco. it even says this on the h&g chart.
if you use canna than the coco is safe to re-use.

For sure and I like the idea you reuse your goods. I mean why not? The house and garden was the shit in hydro, I just dont do hydro anymore. I switched to soil for the taste and so much less work. Changing water on 18 hydro buckets every week wasnt my idea of fun (deep water culture) but the root mass was unlike anything Ive ever seen. Personally I havent even used the the AN line. I just used the bud blood on my white widow and it triggered them faster than any product Ive ever used so I guess thats my reasons for backing AN a bit. But hey to each his own and if the shoe fits, walk

seriously? -that was the lamest video i've ever seen... just because you put the word "science" on the screen and steal a bunch of movie clips doesnt mean shit. the worst part about the whole video is that it shows the result for every company except their own (A.N.) and then they call them selves the winner!... what a fukin joke!! -makes AN look like idiots.

the nutrients in the pics arent even right, the pic of canna nutes, arent even canna nutes, and im pretty sure its the same fert bottles as in the dutch masters pic.
ive read the A.N. ad b4 and know of this so called challenge.
but for it being so scientific, something seems off.-wrong fert in pics, and its obvious that the last pic was taken in someones back yard!! idk, i think their b.s. - also, where was h&g?
and they could have easily fuct with the other plants to semi dwarf them, just touching them a lot could do that.
im gunna set up another room soon , maybe i'll waste my time n money doing a tray of a.n. so i can just find out my self. but all the o.g.'s i know (WHICH IS A LOT) say the stuff sucks compared h&g and canna ect.. and same with every hydro shop i've ever been to!
long ago i even tried to buy the stuff and the hydro guy talked me out of it.
seems like a lot of people think they are a joke, i'll try to do a real side by side and see what happens.

advanced nutes work well, there are guys pullin 2 plus just using the grow micro bloom and nothing else. The voo doo juice is exceptional thats why its 90 bucks a liter. I also like supernatural, for a beginer its the best stuff ever made, ph buffered all u need is terra grow or bloom thats it. As for advanced, i dont lke their nutrient calculator , they really need to work on that cause when u follow it ur ppms are much higher then they say it is, like 25 percent. If you got a ppm pen and ph pen use advanced, and their b 52 is awesome as well as bud blood and big bud. But for absolute easyness and not worryign about ph ever going in or out then supernatural is the shit. Advanced is in a huge effort to make their products ph buffered like supernatural but the cost is immense. Supernatural ph buffers at 6.3 no matter how much u feed, its fucking awesome for a rookie that wants 1.5 a light.

Well if were comparing house and garden to AN then Im not taking a side. My main point was that they are at the top with the rest of the companies. (AN, HG, and canna) I know a few that do you AN and there yields are outstanding. Being that I have used house and garden I KNOW there yields and quality are outstanding as well. Im not battling you on that. But to say AN sucks is simply wrong IMO no matter what OG's you know. And for the most part, alot of OG's are very stuck in there ways (not a bad thing) but I know alot of OG's as well that use GH and that's all theyve grown with for 10-20 years so in that sense they have that line down to a T. Why would they believe in any new product line including house and garden? more than likely they wouldnt. Plus any company willing to refund your full money for buying there products as long as you follow there feed schedule is pretty brave not to mention confident in the product there selling. Not even canna nor HG claim that they will refund your money if you follow there feed schedule and guaruntee that youll come off with the best of the best. Another thing is that by AN using the term "science" is simply because they EMPLOY scientist which is a known fact. These educated scientist are the ones developing and testing products so therefore in that sense it is simply science my friend.

and imo opinion GH does pretty much suck. switch from GH to H&G and watch your yields go up... my og's are off the GH crap and pretty cutting edge with their info.

like i said i'm concidering trying a tray or even a whole room of it AN just to confirm my suspicions that you cant go from 1 pound to 2 pounds just by buying AN, (as the nutrient challage suggests). if it IS true, then i will switch to AN and spend all my time telling people how great AN is...
But I think anyone with half a brain knows that you cant double your yield by switching nutrient companies, they are all to similar to create that dramatic of a change.
