As for the reasons I don't post pictures there are several. And beyond the most obvious one (security) the simple answer is that I don't value compliments for something that can't actually be experience through the relevant form of media. I can't photograph taste or quality.

You point to my lack of photographs as some kind of evidence of something. But let's say I posted a bunch of pictures. What does that prove? Nothing beyond the ability to post photographs - a rudimentary and ultimately inconsequential skill in the modern age. It doesn't prove the pictures are mine. We all generally operate under the principle that everyone posts pictures that are their own, but it's naive to think that's actually the truth.

And since there are a non-zero number of people (whom I won't point fingers at specifically) who like to turn those types of things into a competition I choose not to participate at all. Let's be honest, if someone doesn't like what I have to say and they can compare my plants disfavorably to their own, they'll use that as some kind of proof they're the better grower (again completely ignoring the inability of pictures to convey the qualities that actually matter most). And if my plants look much better they can always call into question whether they're really mine. Or I could turn around and do the same. It's a stupid, pointless competition with no meaning, no winners, and thus - in my opinion - "the only smart move is not to play" to quote an 80's film.

So if it makes you feel better to believe that because I don't take pictures and post them online means I have some nefarious reason for not doing so by all means go right ahead. I'm entirely confident that were that not the case you'd have some kind of back-up conspiracy theory for why I'm nefarious and you're righteous and everyone should believe in your opinions over mine.
It's not just you that doesn't post pictures, it's the whole band of AN pushers which is kinda fishy if you ask me.

Wow, you sure don't have anything better to do with your time but complain.

You seriously stepped in here to complain about people complaining.

Good Job.

Nothing is cheap about A.N. It's a minimum of $500 to get everything they claim you just GOT to have. I bought into their bullshit advertising when I first started growing. I felt like a damn chemist, sucking up 5ml of this, 8ml of that and 12ml of the other. I used their chart and a calculator and a pipet. I was doing a soil grow right next to my hydro and the plants in the soil grew faster and produced more than the A.N. snake oil and rocket fuel BS. Since then I've used Ionic and Dutch Masters with much better results and without all the expense and extra time required.

You realise Dutch Masters use plant growth regulators that are illegal for use in plants intended for human consumption? Only reason they can sell them is because Cannabis is illegal and thus is considered not for human consumption?

No problem dude, don't want cannabis actually causing harm to someone.

I think two of the mentioned products were Gravity and Bushmaster... but do a search for "Dutch Masters PGR" on Google, I don't know all their products so can't name it all, but I wouldn't trust any products from a dodgy company like that.

I think someone posted a thread on here about it too actually.

EDIT: Infact here's a link dude: http://www.integralhydro.com/flowerdragon.html

Good or bad nutes I will never buy a single bottle of AN. Never have never will.. I have used free samples from thehydroponic store and they worked well but I really don't care.

I think big mike is rediculous and want nothing to do with his company or the way that they do busniness. If I didn't sound like such a nazi id say we should selectivly breed out people like big mike. The best thing he had to offer me was the motivation to look into making my own nutes and organics.
Just the corp mentality is enough for me to stay away!

*sigh*

When AN has higher prices, people complain. When AN makes something that is lower priced, then people complain.

And I would be confused if this was about any other nutrient too. Personally, I think that people just like to hear themselves complain. It's sad - and for me, it sounds like people are just looking for ways to feel better about their own grows, not to actually help inform the newer folks on the boards.

Just speak to your experience, don't speak to what you think about marketing or price. In the end, that doesn't really matter, does it? What matters is the results. If you get good results with someone, spread the word. I want to hear it. But if all you have is some snappy remark, then it's just adding to the useless information on these forums.

We're supposed to be helping each other here, right? Show results. Share your growing stories. That's going to help people make informed choices.

If you're only swayed by what a marketing strategy is, then you're not really interested in learning more about growing, IMHO

I switched from AN to dyna-gro. NEVER going back. Half the price, less ph fluc, Less salty build up, more complete and balanced out of 1 bottle!!

I have also used GH which I found to be similar to AN but much less wallet raping "additives".

If by results you mean inhaling heavy metals from the nutrients you fed your plants then AN is the winner... read the article, theyre lying scumbags with the most incomplete nutes on the market. https://www.rollitup.org/nutrients/485086-advanced-nutrients-lie-their-labels.html

that website is a cover for that guys hydro nute business where he sells his own nutes off stolen formulas
he even says himself he stole the formulas from companies like AN and such

so when he sez on the integral hydro website that hes not part of the industry hes lying
hes just tryin to make the competition look bad is all
