I use and like the 65s for $16.95 in the $11 clamp Reflector on my sides, from Lowes or Home Depot.. They have a cheaper clamp reflector, but I like the better one best.

Lowes and Home Depot now have 65 watt CFLS with regular sized sockets, about $16.95 each bulb. 2700 K for Flowering.

I use 2 of those 65watt bulbs to supplement my t5 lamps, worked fine on my last grow, just got the supplies to build a proper grow area in my garage, so i think i'm going to use a HPS to flower in there, i dont mind the results of full flourescent lighting, i just want to see what i can do with an HID light.

i think you get more lumens with hps I got 400 watts but the canopy of my garden is so thick the under foliage is struggling,so im gonna add those to help. I think youll be very pleased with an hid light. ONE REP FOR AVITAR.. i just watched pan this morning absolutley love that flick

exactly thats whats up i hate buying weed for rediculous prices and not having the freedom of choosing what strain i want to smoke

I use 600 watt HPS with 4 100 watt equivelant cfls hanging around the outside edges of my plants. Great light intensity, dispersion and color spectrum.

get fewer of the big ones, plants respond better to a point of bright light than they do to more dim bulbs, just remember not to let the cfl reflectors shade the light from the hps

So, you are saying that less lumens are better?

When I first added cfl's, I put in 65 watt bulbs.

It was a bump up, but not what I expected

My next grow I added the 100 watters.

My yield increased again and my buds were even harder.

Thanks, but I think I'll stick with what works.
