I'll be honest with ya, I'm not sure if it'll shock the plants. My gut feeling (if it were me) would be to ride it out with the 600 for now. I'm not the best person to answer that one.

As far as the turkey bags, I would think they wouldn't be any more prone to mold than jars. If the bud is molding in the jar that's an indicator that it needed more time to dry, or it molded during drying and you didn't notice it until the jar. I wouldn't let that thought deter you from trying it out for yourself. I too used jars for a long time, but as my growing style produced more buds I found it to be a more laborious job to cure. That was when I got online and saw commercial growers managed large quantities of herb and applied that to my system. If you're only curing a couple OZ then I'd say it makes no difference, but when I have 1-2 lbs at a time, jars become my enemy.
yea i feel that about the jars being too much work unscrewing and screwing back on those lids, which is actually why i recently changed to a different style jar with a lid that snaps shut with rubber seal. i like them so far. Makes the cure/burp process much more enjoyable. i can see pros and cons for each technique. i like the idea that if a jar did get mold, only that jar would be f'd as where if i had my whole crop in one container, like a turkey bag,....wait im just now realizing I dont know what size bags we are talking lol. im picturing a massive bag to put the entire harvest in. I use half gallon jars and from my last harvest i believe i have 9 half gallon jars 75% full. I will have to see what this harvest ends up looking like. again thanks for the help/advice/suggestions

My grow was going really well so I thought I would be slick and turn on the super lumens setting and it taco'd a lot of my leaves, so keep a close eye if you do
That super lumen setting seems more like a marketing gimmick. mine has that also, but have never used it. Thanks for your warning! did you notice an improvement in bud formation? I'm sticking at 600 watts to be safe, but its tempting to turn it up to 1000 watts since my ventilation can now handle the extra heat.

It was week 7 of nine so I really have no Idea, if anything im going to say it lessened the yield just a little by damaging some of the leaves, but dont have anything to compare it too

Yea I can see how it could be detrimental two weeks before harvest. It's actually recommended by some to actually lower the wattage towards the end to imitate nature....but that doesnt mean much right ha. For everything said on RIU, theres an equal amount of people saying to do the opposite. It could be helpful arou

Right.... I got caught up... it was doing well so I thought I would experiment and make it a little better(that is so me.....)I cant imaging it hurt them to much just being some leaves ...….but live and learn..i know about the super lumen now...and it was 20 inches from the glass, obviously im not ready for super lumens yet:)

Screw that super lumen setting. It's like a "press me" button. It's a freaking trap lol. I forgot what else I was going to say

this was the most aggressive scrog I've done yet, and I learned a shit ton doing it. Because of how close the colas stretched near my light on my last grow, I overcompensated this time and did not allow for enough vertical growth during the stretch, which i can already see will result in shorter sized nugs. Honestly, i'm pretty dissapointed, but its a lesson that needed to be learned. I run a perpetual grow, so training things in veg to be the right size/shape/structure for flower while waiting for the current flowering plant to finish...has been both challenging and rewarding.

I tend to get really depressed when I see such a simple mistake causing a massive lost in potential. I want to see the full potential of this cut because I dont see ANYONE growing it right now at least. Now I just want this harvest to hurry up so I can stick one of these girls in there and not fuck up. The one on the left will remain my mother plant for this strain. I know, I'm running into timing issues. I'm hoping I can tame the plants in veg until this crop is done

Lookin' good!Several times Ive had to chop some of my veg plants down, two flower rooms sure would be nice.
Thank you
.Yea the space limitations really suck. Two flowering tents would be AWESOME. Throwing out vegging plants that got too big is never ideal ha, but am all to familiar with having to do that. Sounds like you and I have a similar grow style, from what I gather from reading your posts. My ears are always open to advice, suggestions, constructive criticism. I edited my post, I get unnecessarily chatty in the mornings ha

update: no pics atm, but I just switched my ballast setting from 600 watts to 1000 today at day 38 of flower. crossing fingers that that was the right decision. of course I moved my light up to an appropriate distance.

Why so late? Just asking. Is this from past exp or just didn’t need the extra heat/watts?So do you change bulbs or did you always have the 1000 in there?
Edit. Oh your probably led.

I have a 1000 watt adjustable ballast and bulb. I've always ran things at 600 watts because of electrical costs, seems safer, temp swings, ballast runs cooler, etc. 600 watts is like my safe zone if that makes sense. but if I really need to, i have the ability to run 1000 watts. 600 watts wasnt covering my canopy well and lots of the tops around the edges of my canopy werent getting good light....so i bumped it up to 1000 watts and raised the light fixture for more coverage. i need to invest in a lux meter. my mind is racing like crazy atm ha, sorry if that was a weird explanation

My 600 ballast use to keep my veg room warm, a little fan on it to blow the heat around.
really? you weren't worried about an electrical fire? i don't know shit about electronics so idk, but what I heard was that your ballast should be cool enough that you can wrap your hand around it comfortably. when i turned it to 1000, the ballast got too hot to comfortably wrap hands around. what do you think? am I be over cautious...because I think I have one more chance to switch to 1000 before the plant hermies on me probably ha

They do get hot,I just isolated it from the wall with washers.Air could get behind then.
