Activated carbon dust on buds!!!!! Help!!!!!!

my friend had an accident with his carbon filter which resulted in carbon dust being blown across his plant (2 weeks from harvest) now he don't know what to do. I thought about getting some canned air (duster) and trying to blow it off but I'm afraid the dust is probably stuck to the sticky trichromes.
I would hate to think that all his time spent on this plant is wasted but I'm afraid he may have to throw it out.

Any suggestions?

Yeah sorry but you're fucked. 2 weeks from harvest means carbon dust is stuck in that resin. try 2 salvage what you can from the inner buds.

Edibles?? I wouldn't smoke it I guess (why not though--it's carbon--the same thing as ash...??) but even then you could at least make some ultra-potent butter with it... carbon's carbon...? (Someone correct me if I'm wrong and there's more to it)

You could try to use Power Wash by NPK Industries. Its safe to use up until the day of harvest and is used to wash off pesticide and other nutrient residues from plants. Probably you're only hope, or just water with dishsoap. Don't forget it does rain in the wild, so it's not like a plant has never seen a little water on its buds/leaves.

Blow off as much as you can. Then harvest and trim. But befor you hang to dry dip in a clean bucket of ro water. Shake it a few times under the water then hang to dry this will add a day or 2 to the dry but should get rid of most the carbon. Be safe not to push the carbon into the buds let it sit where it's at. On the outside of the bud. You should be fine.

Can I ask how this happend?

He has a DIY carbon filter, apparently the intake, which holds the carbon, fell somehow. and carbon dust was shaken out into the air, picked up by circulation fan.

No big deal, give then a good shake, the carbon will not do shit to you. Carbon is pretty unreactive chemically, so it is going to just pass on through. in fact, for some types of poisonings they have the person swallow a slurry of activated carbon as it will absorb the poison and delay it from geting absorbed by the rest of the body until they can find a suitable antidote or get the person's stomach pumped.

Just read the Materials Safety Data Sheet on "activated carbon" . Under the heading "inhalation" it says " no toxic effect" and you can't even see it on the plant, he took a clean white cloth, and wiped the fan leaves, very little was seen on the cloth, I think he was just freaking out a little bit.
