ac units??????

hey my friends im hooked up with co2 in air tight room using cooltubes to take heat away from room and bulbs, x5 cooltubes, could some1 tell me how i would hook up a ac unit and if im going to need it? ive been reading peoples posts and cant figure it out how a ac unit works in a air tight room? HELP!
 
ok ill explaine some more, sealed room airtight im going to run 2 rows of cooltubes 2 x600w on each they are drawing air from an empty room going through the grow room 2 the outside. they arnt going to touch the enviroment around the grow as they are sealed and drawing air from a diffrent fresh air source running down cooltubes into my 6" exhaust then sent to the outdoors, are u with me, rite ok then injection of c02 fans blowing ect ect maybe a dehumidifyer but where does the air conditioner fit in got me stumped do i need it i duno how i will but correct me if im wrong PLEASE cant figure out how it would help do i need a ac unit my thinking is if i exhaust it out the room then the co2 goes with it what would be the point of that? i dont think ill need 1 but if im going to can sum1 fill me in this is 1st co2 grow so help apreciated
 
the carbon filter isn't going to remove the co2, and you can use it to just cycle air in the room... and if you port the AC intake from another room, and exhaust it into another room, or outside, the co2 should be fine.
 
You are gonna need a lot of air to control those cool tube temps. As much air flow as possible. The more the better. Keep in mind that the second tube in series is gonna warm up 5 or 10 degrees so it wont be able to be as close to the plants as the ones getting the original cool air. I assume that your ballasts are located remotely outside the room and you dont have anything making heat in the room other that the Co2 generator. I hope those two runs of duct leaving the tubes are hooked up to one helluva fan. The lower the you can keep the temps on the tubes, the less you will have to exhaust the room and all your valuable CO2. You need a Co2 controller that will turn your Co2 off during the exhaust cycle and turn it back on when the exhaust cycle is complete. CAP and GreenAir both make good ones. I hope I helped. well for like 200$ walmart carries stand alone ac units which means you dont have to place them in a window. you can set them in a room or house anywhere you want cooled, all you do is place one in your grow room and set the thermostat at what temp you'd like it to keep and it'll do its job... my old 12x12 room I had one and it kept it a cool constant 75 degrees... it was on the timer with my lights then in the summer I left it on a 24/7 outlet and ran it all the time . my room was always almost a constant 75 degrees...
 
What type of air conditioner do you have? If you get the right amount of flow through the tubes, you shouldnt need a lot of air conditioning. ALthough the above mentioned controlers have a placed to plug up and air condtioner also. If you are using another room for intake and you get a lot of air flow, you are gonna suck the walls in on that room. Can you get your intake air from outsider the house?
 
I just run an AC through the tubes and keep CO2 on during... everything stays fine for 12 hours, and then the next 12 it's offline. :)
 
intake comeing via a different room 2 of them to be exact the air is cool as there is no heating in the place apart from what i create, outside the growroom is like 12 degrees cold wich i thought would be perfect to cool the tubes? just cool air in from the anougher room and straight through the growroom back to the outside im happy the 2 fans are capeable of running powerfull enough to do the job the grow shop said i could do 3 in a row as long as they were strait in a line so i going to run 2 lines with 2 600w hooked up as described b4, i should be ok i thinks
 
First of all you are over complicating things.

1. If you are running Co2 then you can have temps in the mid-high 80s instead of the 70's.....thats one major benefit to Co2.
This will reduce the need for cooling the space and reduce the time your a/c needs to run.

2. The exhaust fan on a portable a/c does not begin to compare to the cubic volume of most grow rooms therefor you will not
be exchanging the enriched air as often as you may think. It will not be able to draw out the Co2 as quickly as you are generating it.

My recommendation is to plug the a/c into a CAP-Dne Thermostat. This is a plug in thermostat that the a/c will plug into and is much more accurate than the onboard equipment that comes with the a/c. Let the a/c run whenever it needs to in order to maintain desired temps, vent the exhaust and be done with it.

Now if you want to get fancy then install a greenhouse master controller that cycles off Co2 whenever A/C or other exhaust appliances run. Custon Automated Products is a candy store for this kind of equipment. a.k.a. CAP.

im going to try and run without a air conditioner see how i manage im going to run 1 600w in there without cooltube for extra heat to get up to the 30 degree mark i think from previouse grows i will be able to manage the temps to a near perfect situation at most maybe a dehumidifyer to keep a lid on humidity still cant see this ac thing maybe i may need 1 hope i dont cost bucks
 
C02 is more beneficial when temps are slightly higher anyway ...

mid-high 80's

and btw... the stand alone ac unit I have is a GE 55000 btu
