About to give up completely

Well i just started the pool shock in this water swap. I gave them a sodium hypochlorite bath 2 days ago and they haven't changed at all. So hopefully this reduction of nutrients, fresh water fresh pool shock exc helps.....

If it doesnt im selling everything (including my wife) and going coco and ill just deal with the load of extra work lol.

Its fustrating going from growing great in soil and coco to failing 1x right off the bat in rdwc and starting to fail again lol. Its teuly one of those things where u just dont realize how diff it is untill you start it and stuff changes dramatically in a day or 2!! Pretty wild
I just went threw root rot, it took a good week to see new white roots again, about a week to see anything really. I tossed them and started over anyways.

O tossed my first ones (28 plants) i cant stomach tossing these ones 2. I do t think they are far enoigh gone that i might only loose a week of growth.

I regret tossing mine, I had one pheno I was really looking forward to seeing. I cut clones and tossed it before I established the clones, had bad vibes over everything so reset everything, new strains, plans went out the window. I switched to rdwc last year and had a great run, I’m still smoking the harvest. I’m disappointed in my piddly mistakes that cost me 2 months and hundreds of dollars. That’s how we learn.

My only concern with this is overdoing the shock. I dont want to burn my roots off either lmao
I been mixing a 4 gallon jug full strength to my system volume (80 gallons) and adding a few chugs of that every couple days. It’s mixed for 2 ppm so I can’t risk over doing it, like I mentioned, I just keep the swimming pool smell alive. These guys know more on these topics then me, I spent more time with promix or soil, my issues in the past year are new to my grow room. I’m between a week or 2 in now, will see what happens.

Pics from today. Also smell is gone on roots. One thing thats odd though is i have 2 diff types of chlorine strips for measuring free chlorine. After putting 5grams of shock into 100 gallons of water it still on 4 diff strips says i have 0ppm free chlorine

Much better. Roots look like they're doing pretty good. Just watch them like a hawk now.

Pulled the smallest one right outta the pot for better inspection. Idk im really considering hust once again getting some new clones. Or y'all think these can be saved? I just slowly added roughly 50 grams of pool shock to my 100 gallons of water and it STILL doesnt smell of chlorine nor is it reading ANY ppm of free chlorine..... wtf lol.

I also made up a 5 gallon side bucket of it and ofter adding 4 grams of shock to that i ended up at 4-5ppm

I dont get it, only rhing i cN think of is that even the brand new ro water i out it last night and the qhole system itself has an assload of bacteria thats just eating up thw chlorine that fast????

Wow so after dumping litterally around 50 GRAMS in a slow process into my system (100 gallons) and letting it sit an hour, i went back oit and re tested the chlorine and its exactly 5ppm chlorine and 5ppm free chlorine.

BUT i lowered my ec down to .6 and now its back up to 1.1? Is that possibly from having to dump so much shock into the water??? I'll pump half back out again tomorrow and refill with ro water to lower ec again but gosh damn lol.

That one looks a lil rough. If your thinking of scraping and starting over, why not start a mom plant and get cuttings from that? I keep a couple moms just in case I need cuttings. Clones can get expensive. Lol

I don't have any experience with chlorine, only h2o2 and hydroguard, so I can't help with that.

I know i have problems when moving a well rooted clone into a net pot.If its because my hand touches the roots or the light not sure. Now when my clones root I drop them in a net pot right away so I don't damage any of the roots.

I thought so to but it jumped 200 ppm in less than 2 hours and while i was adding the shock. Im going tk drain half again and add ro again at lights out tonight. Good thing is rhey havent gotton any WORSE and some are actually raising leafs high again.
to be honest, i never measured how much it raised EC. but it would have to.
