About to give up completely

you have a big control res, right? try adding it dry to it. 0.50 grams per 10 gallons is 5ppm. might be worth a try??
Or should i just add it in anyways. The odd part of this was the mox solution i made to tonight added 0ppm on my meter? In the nute mix rez that is

that's hard to say. since you have rot, it's gonna use up a lot of chlorine really quickly. 1ppm a day would be about as safe as you can get. maybe up to 2 or 3ppm ? like i said, unless you can measure your chlorine levels, hard to say precisely
I do have spa tabs lol

I have a float valve, yes, honestly i havent gotton far enough with a grow yet foe it to matter anyways lmao. Only had to top off one time in last 2 grows becaise of issues.

This is my 1st time with rdwc/dwc and so far i absolutly hate it

I feel for ya brother. The bleach should have killed. I don’t know the amounts so no help there. All I can think of is these copies you get. They need to be bleached first before you put them into the system. I know that doesn’t help ya now. Sorry.
You should have enough air as it doesn’t take much. You definitely have something in your room that this keeps coming back. The bleach solution should have killed everything. What I can suggest is raise the water level as high as you can go to submerge all the roots. Maybe 30 min then drop again.
I hope they respond.

Well as title states, im about to just rip all this fucking garbage out of my grow area and sell it or burn it or smash it, idk. I do know im at my final level of irritation with it though.

As some know i had some issues with a first round of plants that were just locked the fck out right from the fella i got em from. After 2 weeks of shit growth and not neing able to get them to recover i trashed all 28 plants.

Started a new crop with decently nice copies! Got root rot in a very slight manor right off the bat that stuned my babies bad. Got it fixed fast with some MAJOR help from mr4tune. Roots were banging out and banging out white, plants were growing good. As of 3 days ago these cocksuckers have taken a 180 deg turn, gone to fck all and have brownish weak shitty roots. I have been running bleach at pretty reasonable doses. I tried giving them a H2o2 bath did nothing. Root growth stopped completely, plant growth stopped and leavea are fading out FAST. They were eating great qater was dropping and ph rising 5.75-6.05 over 2 days and they just STOPPED

Room temps
76-78 lights on 65% humidity
68 at lights off 50% humidity

Air circulation is great
Water temps stay at 66-67°
Ec 1.4, ph stable at 5.87.

I DID have some shit bubbling from air stones for about 2 days (i mean hardly any) could that be part of the problem as those plants roots look worse then the rest?

Idk wtf to do, they all have 7+ nodes and 21 of the 28 are over 12" tall and bushy.

I just dont get it, tried bennies didnt work (how i got my first root rot), tried bleach, tried h2o2. Theres no slime or algea at all. 2 updates i did make last night amd today though is fully covering all net pots light tight and said screw it and added 2 more 1750gph air pumps

I just cant afford to loose this crop. Im swapping water out tonight and lowering ppms/EC. I also changed (as of this new water) to pool shock instead of bleach.
Do you have any pictures mate? Proper waterlevel is pretty crucial in DWC. When you ran sterile how much chlorine did you actually use? What product, strength and to what volume etc. Chlorine is pretty foolproof if you just stick to recommendations.

Try decreasing aeration to the buckets. You need to have some dry roots at the top. The whole root mass cant be saturated at all times. I think this is the main problem, listening to what everybody says to use as big of a air pump as possible.

People say the more air the better but I strongly disagree on this. You don't need much air to saturate the water with DO, temperature is way more important.

It's a learning curve for sure but you will learn. Keep at it trying 1 thing at a time so you can see what difference it makes. Might have to sacrifice plants to experiment so you can get it dialed in. Don't give up! Once dialed in its easy and you really won't need to do much.

Did you build the system yourself or is it store bought? What nutrient line do you use? I'm wondering about washers and sealants?
Back in the day people used polyurethane for aquariums but I don't think anybody would use that today for example.

Something inert and stable in water like typical marine polyurethane sealant as example may not be stable in a mineral saturated solution. Oil and roots don't mix well.

Rubber washers should be avoided and stay away from any sealants other than aquarium safe silicone.

My temps always stay between 66 and 67. Water level is an 1-2 inches below net pot and chlorine at 5ppm for bath and 2ppm for upkeep

I bought the 28 pot system from root box hydro. Theres no sealants of any rype or chemicals its all poly and plastic all black as well. Im running floraflex (wich had a massove improvement in a day over the forst line wich was lotus

How big are the roots? If they are decent size the water is too high. Need more air space. Not sure that it will fix them now though root rot is a bitch and the reason that after I started growing more than a couple plants I switched to coco. If your worried about carrying it in your house use expanded blocks. As far as getting rid of it, I now just dump at a friend's house but when I was trying to be discreet id fill black garbage bags and haul off, or make raised b d in the yard by mixing it with manure and compost.
