Abnormal leaves (clone)

Hey guys,

My clone is growing some wired twisty leaves and single fingered leaves.

I took her from a plant that was in its first week of flower, the clone then continued to flower for a while and only seems like its just started re-vegging again.
I assume that is why I'm getting odd leaf growth.

apart from that she looks healthy with a nice green. And she is branching like I topped her.

i plan on using her as a one time mother for my next DWC grow, and then putting her outdoor at the start of the grow season.

As a general rule I only take cuttings from a veg cycle, but I know many people will clone at any time.

I often see what you have when a clone is taken from a flowering plant. In my experience, the single and 3 blade leaves continue to grow for several more weeks. Some leaves will twist pretty good.. It's weird, too, isn't it? It's like 1/2 the leaf refuses to grow while the other half is just fine. It's like they got Leaf Palsy.

This is just one of the reasons why I don't like taking them from flower. Sure, you can do it and it's fine.. but.. Eh. I don't like revegging.. I feel like it's too stressful on the plant.

Just keep her happy and you'll likely be fine.

Like Hoggins said, your clone was flowering and had to revert to vegetative state (reveg).. swirled leaves are a sign of this.

It'll progress through single bladed leaves all the way to 7+. My current 6 plants were all revegged clones, they look fine now!

The twirly leaves in pic #1 are the result of you moving either the plant or the light source. Smaller, still developing leaves will try to "track" the light, to follow the light. Don't move anything and the swirly leaves will unswirl. Otherwise you are in good shape with a solid plan. Good luck, BigSteve.
