one way to save money is to quit smoking cigarettes.... still can't do it... hehe...

I agree with you... never picked it up. most people smoke about a pack a day.

say for the good of all things cigs are $5 a pack

5*7=35 35*4=140 a month! Thats 140*12=1680 a year and thats the low end of things also.

Growing your own weed and rolling your own cigs is one way to save money.
Stop smoking cigs and you will be doing even better.:joint:

altho it was the hardest thing i've ever done, quitting smoking freed up a ton of cash that i now bring to the tattoo shop. at least my tattoo addiction puts money in the pockets of the hard working little people and not phillip morris... and i get to carry art around instead of cancer lol

Some good advice in this thread. I'll try to add a bit more. Don't try to live a lifestyle that's beyond your means (i.e. don't bother trying to keep up with the neighbors). I have a ton of friends that are always broke and that have bill collectors bugging them because they can't get it through their heads that you don't eat filet mignon on a hamburger income. Sure, you can treat yourself every now and then, but you need to be realistic.

Also, always keep in mind that there is a huge difference between needs and wants. I NEED to pay the rent. I WANT to go spend $1500 on a new computer. I NEED to pay the electric bill. I WANT to go spend a few hundred bucks on supplementary lights. See the difference? People need to learn to get over all this instant gratification stuff and discover that you don't have to have everything you want right this minute.

I don't see how someone can have a job and supplement their money by growing(even just a little) and not come out way ahead...

because most people in tough situations dont have a good job, and the amount they grow isnt enough to give them a bump up for to long. For me, i have many expenses, rent, car, food, gas, everything from tolet paper to the misses shampoo and conditioner(witch is fucken expencive), and obviously pot is on that list somewhere, usually pretty high on priority list.

I get by each month after paying for everyhtng i need and no more then an ounce of beasters a month, and im still just barley over breaking even, when me and the misses work 30 hours per week each.

I try to save like crazy, i dont buy anything i dont need, and the most i can save out of the month is a hundred or two, and then its spent the next month when we need a random car part(or 3 like last month!!!!), or we have to pay a fucking speeding ticket... somthing always comes up....:wall: its been this way for years, ive realized that i need to get out of NY state because alot of people are in the same situation. Theres NO good jobs out there, the BEST job ive been able to get pays ten per hour plus bonuses, so i work the maximum hours. I cant even find a job in any kind of construction, witch is what ive done for years, i was laid off over this winter YET AGAIN.

and im not a lazy mofo either, i try everything i can do to make extra money, short of ripping people off and robbing people....:wall::wall::wall:

makes me go insane just thinking about this

Stop spending all your cash on shit you don't need :) I have £100 by not buying those two new pairs of trousers, or the new pair of shoes. We live for excess our situation be damned. I have a couple of pairs of trousers, a couple of pairs of shoes etc, and i get by.

So i spend all the saved cash on beer and junk food WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO preach that!

I have a grow and a few jobs, the jobs barely cover my living expenses, and i sell nothing. Weed is not and never will be a money comodity with me. I would rather not have that £200 from selling a couple of ounces, what would i use it for that i need, so i prefere to smoke it all up :)

Saving currency is a fools chore. Save a dollar and in 4 years it will only buy half of what it did, therefore you need to GROW your money by either speculating or investing. The great thing about it is that the government is still going to tax your devalued dollars, so you will basically get taxed on your loss, haha what a fucking scam they run.

i save money by living like a bum, a few rungs below my means. i drive a peice of shit car, i live in a horrible neighborhood, i have 4 pairs of extremely worn shoes, my daily outfit is a tshirt and jeans. i don't subscribe to any magazines or anything like that. the lights are always off at my house unless i need to see. i buy all my cleaning supplies ultra concentrated so i don't have to keep buying. i live alone but i buy certain things in bulk.

i did splurge on cable, though. i used to work there and got it free and when i didn't work there anymore i was spoiled. i figure i cut enough fat out of my budget that i can treat myself to cable. if times get tough that shit is gone, though.

i can't tell you how many customers i talked to that were literally dirt broke but just couldn't bring themselves to actually cancel the cable. they would cut down a tier or two and act like it was the end of the world. cable is still a major deal for a lot of people and it's one of the most expensive and unnecessary services there is.

dude just get a 401 k and have like a certain percentage taken out of ur check! also it is easy to save if u actually look at something and say:hmm, do i really need that or would i rather have the money?
