A short thread about elections.

I was watching Erin O’Toole’s press conference this morning. Honest to fuck, does the guy ever answer a question? Are the words Yes and No not in his vocabulary? I don’t know why I torture myself watching it since I’ve already voted.

Poll numbers are tightening. It know seems unlikely the shifty bastard will form the government. Thank God.
God luck you guys!

This Guy Running For Canadian Parliament Wants Men Not to Ejaculate

The PPC signs locally are the most prominent, followed by CHP (Christian Heritage Party), then Conservative, NDP, Liberal, and Green. Conservatives usually get elected locally. The regional PPC president got arrested last week for throwing gravel at Trudeau in London.

I'm ok with them overall as they split the vote.

The federal election might not have a clear winner Monday night — here’s why

Canadians might go to bed Monday night without knowing the final results of the federal election. They might not even know who won by Tuesday morning. That's because this year, Elections Canada isn't counting hundreds of thousands of local special ballots — votes from Canadians living in their ridings who opted to vote by mail — until Tuesday.

It’s just going to take longer because there were more mail in ballots than usual and they aren’t going to count them until the next day.

While Conservatives are dangerous because of regressive policies, they aren’t inclined to destroy the country to gain a little power.

They were asking for aditional poll workers in my riding to be trained today. I thought of doing it but they were saying you could be there 12 hours and my condition would not sit well with that. I was feeling lousy and vaped a good amount of my CBD bud. Actually got me stoned like the days gon by, I kind of liked it. But I needed to get things don rather than listen to music. Today it is yard work, the geese are flying overhead.

A high school teacher and aspiring politician for the People's Party of Canada is under fire for a video game he created in college in which players attack characters depicted by cultural stereotypes, Queerty reports.

Mario Greco, who is currently seeking a seat in the Canadian House of Commons in the Vaughan—Woodbridge district of Ontario, created the video game "Happy Culture Shootout," which even allows players to carry out a mass shooting at a Pride parade.

"They're not dying in the game, no one's dying in the game, there isn't a single person that dies in the game," Greco told the Canadian news outlet PressProgress. "They're beams of light, no one's dying, they're being sent to Happy Land because the goal was to end war and discrimination."

Writing for Queerty, David Reddish points out that it's interesting how the game "doesn't involve "] 'shooting' haters, but rather the innocent. For that matter, interesting that the game involves removing the victims of discrimination to end social tensions."

PressProgress also uncovered a video from Greco's college days where he defends the game against a classmate who called it the "most racist" game he's ever seen.

"My friends and I love people of all cultures and we also love humor of all types," Greco said in the video. "That includes harmless racist jokes. This game was intended to make a joke about how ridiculous cultural stereotypes are so we can all laugh about it together and move on with our lives."

As Queerty points out, PressProgress also found tweets from Greco where he referred to Critical Race Theory as "cancer," and drew a picture of Pepe the Frog, an image associated with the alt-right on online forum 4chan. Greco said he refuses to get vaccinated against COVID-19 and has published photos of himself wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat.

Yoo-hoo! I did not get harassed by the evil side. Or in Canada, the "You voted for him? Oh, that is alright." fanatics. I can probably visit neighbours on either side of the fence. And I got my Health Canada Medical Grow Certificate in the mail today. I'm good for another year. Feeling pretty good with myself.

Interesting election battle we have in one of our riding's. Think the PC's are going to get it, they had a 126 vote (39% PC, 38.6% Liberal, whish they gave the NDP votes) lead and with the mail in ballots being counted it is up to 160. But still another day or two to find out for sure. Love the Gerrymandering used to game the system. The riding is part urban, part rural. Maybe the US should farm out determining the riding's for them.
