A question about security

So I ordered a bong through overseas mail order to my house in the US, and it was seized at the border . Now that I've been caught trying to import "drug paraphernalia", will all my packages from other countries be inspected? I'm worried about the next time I try to order seeds they'll get seized too. Anyone have experience having their packages seized and then having the next pack slip through?

I've read about people having one taken by customs and a week later getting another package no problem

To be on the safe side next time, order seeds to a friend's house or something. I'm not sure about them checking all mail to your house, I live in the UK, bongs, pipes and seeds are legal here.

It's the package not the addressee that is being grabbed. A bong is a lot harder to package than seeds. I use my real name and address all the time for seeds from attitude. Unless you are buying 200 seeds, don't worry about it.

have to read the OP i think it was more than just a pipe

a bong is not illegal in the states unless its used. so I would have to believe something else was in the package

I agree, I live in minnesota and u can by bongs pipes whatever because there used for "tobacco". Having a bong seized in the mail sounds strange to me. Call me paranoid but I havent even ordered seeds through the mail.

i had my seeds confiscated a few years back. envelope was cut open, then resealed with tape. inside there was a letter from the u.s customs stating there was contraband. i contacted the seed bank, and viola. i got new seeds in a week. no letter second time.

i wouldn't worry my friend, unless you are up to something other than a bong and a few seeds. the u.s customs does a good job(your case bad) on intercepting contraband, but they cant get it all.

Nope, just glass. And as it had a big, frosted pot leaf on the front, it got nabbed as paraphernalia, which is illegal to import. Next time I'll just go to the headshop downtown. Glad to hear that my name probably isn't in some border control database and my next seed order should come through.

in some states its illegal to sell bongs and bowls from over the state lines..

although it was complete and utter bullshit how it happened or that it even happened, that was the basis of the whole tommy chong arrest...

if you are unlucky to live in such a state (it may still be legal to purchase them within the state even if you cant buy from out of state) you may not get it... but its only a very few states that are like that..
