You have never waited 20-30min at a fast food place? You've never been stuck in the drive thru for ever? You've never ordered food in the drive thru and it not be correct when you got home? It not always in a timely manner and its not always the right order. And shit, sometimes they are out of things. Even at the nicest restaurant, you are going to get bad service every now and again. You are going to wait an hour for your food some time in your life.
With the whole seed bank thing, its not a face to face transaction, it online, so customer service is not really as important. Shipping times, yes thats important, and yes he fucked up here. But its not the same as other businesses.
You have to remember, with other types of businesses, you can just go down the street to a different one if you don't like the price, the service or whatever. With seeds, its a little different. There is not a reliable seed bank on every corner. He is willing to send to US customers where many seed banks will not. Yes, every one is talking about Attitude seed bank, but up until recently, I had not really heard anything about these guys. Yet, over the years, Dr Chronic has come up several times.
We don't have the choices we would like to have as US customers. If we did, Dr Chronic would have been out of business years ago. The banks that will send to us that don't charge a billion dollars for seeds are few and far between. We are beginning to get some more choices though as Attitude seems to be coming through for us. But up until recently, as I said, I hadn't heard much at all about these guys.
With us now having a few choices, the Dr may be forced to up his game. A few years ago, when the Dr didn't have as much competition, he was filling the need of the US customers. He sent seeds to us, while others wouldn't. He could have told you your mother should die, and you'd still order seeds because he was the only one who would do it. This is not the case any longer, and think he may be realizing that.
