Here is what happenned after I threatened a chargeback on the DOC.....
In his exact words

Dear Mr CustomHydro we have now arranged for some more seeds to be sent
however this is not the original order as we have now run out of
Cheese , hopefully these items will arrive and when they do you may
contact us and we will send the cheese ( pending future developments)

We can confirm your order # ..... was dispatched on the 20 august 2008

Maybe he has just been so swamped with orders, things are taking longer than usual. Like those mail order commercials where it says 6-8weeks for delivery. Or maybe he is out of stock on some of the items you ordered and isn't sending them until back in stock. Maybe he is so swamped, he is sending out half the order, to keep people's faith, and will be sending the second half soon.

I am just throwing ideas out there, as I was a business owner at one time.

The thing is tho that both HC and Cam threatened w/ charge back and are getting seeds Cam did already and HC will now too.

82 days is closer to 12weks

I just used the 6-8 weeks as an example. Maybe they would have eventually got their seeds, and he sped up the shipment because of the chargeback. Like I said before, maybe he is just WAY behind on his shit. Maybe he is trying to get everyones orders out, but has so many he just can't do it in time. I know how it is when your business blows up and you just can't handle that much by yourself. He may just be overwhelmed. Maybe he is getting too many orders to keep his stock up, and so he can't even ship out those orders and is so busy he can't send emails.

I don't really know what is going on, but lots of businesses get so big, so quick, that they don't know what to do. This may be happening here. When millions of people have access to order from your business, its a lot different than just a building that only people in that town frequent. As stated before, I am not defending, just trying to look at things from different points of view.

i feel you but some funky seeds you cant be that far behind if i got my seeds just last month 7days and it took82, but i understand what you saying.

If that is the case he needs to take better care of his business. That would be poor customer service to sell something u don't have... If he did end up in a jam like that, u would think u would be offered an option to wait til the are back in stock or to order something else, u know...
Communication is crucial in any business that deals with people......

How long does it take to put seeds in an envelope? He could put out 500 orders per day by himself, I doubt he is behind that way....

Thanks for thedifferent point of view. I will admit my attitude towards the doc is gointo be bias, based on how I have been treated by him...
It is nice to get a different point of view every once in a while...

There is a lot more to running a seed business than just putting them in an envelope and mailing them out. Most people that have never owned a business have no idea how much work goes into it. Many business owners spend 60-80 hrs a week at their job. It is more than full time when you are running the company.

You have to pay bills, place orders, ship the orders, deal with shitty employees, take inventory, etc, etc. He may not be out of the product, maybe just behind. But if he were out of stock on things, it would be nice for him to let you know. I have been bitching about his customer service for the past 3yrs since I never got my seeds from him nor did I get a return email when I tried contacting him. So customer service is not his expertise.

Think about if you had millions of people shopping at your store. Its very easy to get overwhelmed. With all the emails he gets per day, it is probably tough to reply to every single one. And on top of that, getting out all the orders and running a business, its a lot to do.

Who knows, he may just be ripping people off until his business is affected by word of mouth. Or maybe its a crappy employee or he's just way behind. I don't think we will ever know exactly what is going on, but I don't think anyone should go placing huge orders of $1,000 or even $250-$500 at any seed bank if they are in the US. Its kind of just asking for it in my opinion. Most drug dealers are not exactly the most trustworthy people. And granted these people are not "drug dealers" so to speak, but when dealing with something like this, you have to look at them like that. They are not your friend and could care less what happens to you or your money.

well he got back to me today and told me that he's been behind, and thanks me for emailing him telling me that he's getting it straight.

it breaks my heart to hear how hard the doc hs it. i'm self employed, i run a land scaping business all over the city, of course thier out working right now, none the less, if you cant give good customer service you need to find something else to do. :wall::wall::wall:

The key here is "all over the city". All over the city is one thing, but all over the world is another. Your city has what, maybe 500,000 people. The world on the other hand is quite a bit bigger. There is a big difference between thousands of people and millions or even billions. Granted not all these people are shopping with him, but not all 500,000 people have you do their landscaping either.

Service is not always the key factor to a business. Yes it helps, but who doesn't go to McDonald's when they want to save some money? Do you get great customer service there? I doubt it, yet they make billions.

I am just glad that he is contacting people again and letting them know whats going on. Hopefully everyone will be getting their orders shortly.

then wy do a alot of seed companies not having this problem. it sounds ike the doc has been real good to ya. i'd stik with him if i were you.

i work in customer service and that IS the key for buisness.if you dont have good customer service u wont have customers....ITS THAT SIMPLE.how can u expect to have customers if you dont please them......NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE.

Sure you can get behind but not to put you low in stock on a certain strain or out of stock, or even emailing once ordered that you out of stock is crazy. He might not keep the email addresses so that one dont count.

You can never behind 82days after a threat tho.

You get good service at McDonald's? Burger King? Denny's? They make millions with horrible customer service!

Many seed companies probably don't have this problem because not as many people are ordering from them. Everytime I go to a thread on a forum about seed banks, they always mention Dr Chronic, Seed Boutique, and Nirvana. Nirvana is a large company so they won't have the problems that the others will. I have seen people complain about Dr Chronic and Seed Boutique's shipping times, and I would guess because so many people are ordering from these companies.

and i can see that bong but the thing is,
my basis of arguement is that he only replied once he knew the $ was in jepordy.
and finally some one got their seeds a week n a half after the chargeback was in place.
Not a a lil fishy?

well they might not be nice at those fast food places but they get me my burgers and frys in a timly manner. thats what matters at FAST FOOD. gettin you food in a timly manner. ordering seeds is totally different. your not gonna eat it your gonna grow it.and if you want your customer to return u better back it up. i know if i ask 4 a double greaseburger PLAIN an they give me a regular.however shitty there customer service is they will get me the RIGHT burger.
