a hash oil question

I know that you take the trimmings to make the oil, or you can take the bud if you like . A guy told me that he used about 21 grams to make 1.5 grams of oil. ok the most expensive oil I've seen is 50 a gram. so how would it be worth it to take an ounce of weed to turn it into to oil to sell? if you took and use the bud from some high grade weed and made hash oil wouldn't you be loosing money?

I think they mainly use cheaper krons they got for cheap maybe 100 an oz and probably lightly seeded.

Well if someone is only getting that small of an amount their doing it wrong. I get 10 grams hash from a qp of just leaf. I can sell it to the shops for 15 per gram.
