When using "A" or "An" it is important to remember one thing.

When a word starts with a vowel, then you use "an" before the word in a sentence, if it is a normal consonant, then you use "a" before the word.

Example:

A cat
A dog
A mouse
A horse

An eagle
An alligator
An ostrich
An Uncle Buck.

Ok? Now what about Then and Than? Or Your and You're? How are we doing on those Internet?

Fuck all of this nonsense. Which fork do I use and how come I got so many spoons when I didn't order soup?

The one that really get's me swingin at the fences is when people use "and I" incorrectly. Seems everyone just says "and I" for everything now. "Oh, she came to the party with Sara and I" NO, MF! it's "she came to the party with Sara and me".

You say, "Sara and I are going to the party".

Basically the rule is something like the sentence needs to be correct without the other person. So, you wouldn't say "oh, she came to the party with I", you would say "she came to the party with me". You wouldn't say "Sara and me are going to the party" (it would be "I am going to the party" because without Sara....)

Was that clear enough?

Please, people, set others straight when you hear them do this. I have seen news anchors do this and it makes me crazy!!!!!
