Not true in my experience. I have been growing them on a 40 day cycle for 8 months now, and although the conditions have to be right, and they are more finicky than some lead you to believe you can really get some great yields if done right. These two are only 49 days today and are by far the nicest ones I've had to date. You just have to figure these autos out, just like anything you grow. I have lost a few, but have had a consistent yield of some sort on almost every plant (except the ones I screwed up experimenting). I grew different strains right through the winter this year and had a reasonable amount of success, with my largest plant to date being a White Widow auto that yielded around 3.5oz dry, however these two are already twice the thickness that plant was at harvest (75 days) so I am expecting good things from these girls. I pretty much have my indoor processes worked out, as I am on my 8th grow now, so as long as environmental conditions (or my experiments) don't screw the plants up, I should start gaining a little more consistency in my yields. Quality of buzz has been top notch on every batch although I screwed up the flavor profiles on my first couple batches of 3 plants by drying at too high a temp and too low humidity. Live and learn.
