9 Freakin Hours Straight

THere is really no point to this post, other than the fact that I was up until 6am trimming. I thought I was going to get a jump on it by starting at like 9pm. I was very wrong! It took forever. Usually I do it in two or three sittings, but this time I decided to get it all done at once. I think this was a mistake.

The harvest was good, its looking like at least 12oz, but still, it took forever. I will get some harvest pics up for you guys tonight.

Like I said in the beginning, no point to this post, I just wanted to complain about how long I was up last night with the girls.

Well here are some pics. The battery on my camera died when I was starting to take some close ups, so you will have to wait until tonight to see any of those.

I am drying in an old veg cab I haven't used for like 8 months and thats why there is mylar and what not in there.

I am going to use my current flower room which is 4'x4'x6'6" as my new veg cab and I'm building a vert set up this week. For the first run I will be using my 600watt light and my old 400watt light. Then next grow I plan on having 2 600watt lights in my vert setup. Shit I may even leave the 400watt in there with the 2 600watt lights.

I'm no photographer, so sorry about the crappy pics.

The top rows are Purple Urkel, the front bottom row is C99, and the back bottom row is Ice. Let me know what you guys think.

The strains are Purple Urkel, Ice, and C99.

I had 11 plants this time around, but 5 of them were freshly rooted clones that went straight into flower. Those 5 topped out at about 8" tall. The others were flowered at like 12"-18" and finished at 2ft-3 1/2 ft. The largest yielder seems to be the C99. Last time I got like 2 1/2-3ozs per plant, and it looking like it should be at least oz this time.

they look bomb, just curious though, i heard its best to hang and dry the entire plant from the lowest bud up...is this wrong? why hang by each individual cola? just curouas as I try to decide what to do cheers.

Thanks for the compliments.

The reason people say to hang the entire plant is to slow down the drying process. You don't need to hang the entire plant still connected though, but it is one way of drying. Many people hang the whole plant, but many also do it this way. It is a lot easier to trim each branch than it is to trim an entire plant. This way I can just roll the buds as I trim. And because its nice and cold outside right now, my temps in the drying space are like 65-70degrees with like 50% humidity so I don't really need to slow the drying down at all. It will take like 4-5 days to dry and be ready to start curing.

You deserve a massage. I recommend Victoria's in North Highlands. They're all easy on the eyes, VERY friendly and professional, great facility, and if you get Victoria her boobs feel kinda nice on the back of your head. (That was a first for me, but I got used to it real fast. )

This is how my son does it, and he does it this way because it's easier for him. He also waits til after they're dry to trim. I didn't like trimming dried bud, myself.
