I see some differ a bit; so your thoughts on: 9 days from seed, 2"-3" tall with root starting to come through the bottom of the rockwool 2x2 cube. Temp has been 78*-82*F with the Humidity being a constant 40%. They seem to be diggin' it so far, your thoughts? :joint:

They will be fine at that range. But don't you really want to go much hotter. So if you think it will now is the time to find a way to cool it.

The humidity should be 60-70% to be PERFECT. With that being said just watch the plants. They'll tell you what they need.

Warlock is correct.... now is the time to starting looking ahead and planning. If it's warm in the room now what's going to happen when it starts to warm up outside?

Cool, thanks to both of you. They will be going into 4x4 and 4x8 tents, vented, cooled, etc.

Should I add a humidifyer to the room?

If humidity reaches below 30% for more than a day, then turn on a humidifier set to 60%. If they are in tents, you may need a few units.

I'm not a big fan of tents either. If you have the ability I'd setup a grow in a basement, garage, attic or spare bedroom. Once again temps need to be accounted for. I've found that controlling temps in a 4'x4' tent is much harder than in a 10'x10' room.

Also, get anything that generates heat and place it OUTSIDE the tent. Running CO2 also allows your temps to be 10 degrees or so warmer.

Good question! Just thought the tent was the way to go. My seed room is 6'x11', the veg/bud room is 8'x11'. So, with 600w HPS/MH, how many lights would I need to cover 88sgft? Mylar is much cheaper then tents!

I added a humidifyer to the room and watching it closely, up to 50%RH now.

Try this:

It seems you have the ideal setup for a perpetual grow. You could use one room for seedlings/clones & vegetative & the 2nd for flowering. I know there are a lot of growers using 600w bare bulbs in a vertical setup.

I also use FlashGro material which is a lot thicker than Mylar: http://www.valleyindoor.com/product.php?productid=465

I've learned that a grow room is ever evolving. I'm about to re-model mine for the 3rd and hopefully last time!

I'm currently using (2) Magnum XXXL 1,000w lights. If I had to do it again I would probably use (4) 600w. I do some supplemental lighting with a vertical bare bulb 600w.

According to the grow room calculator you'll need 8 - 600w light for an 8x11 room. Have you thought about doing a SCROG? You could setup a nice 4'x4' or 6'x6' SCROG. Using Flash Gro material around the sides would help concentrate the lights directly on the SCROG and reduce the # of lights used.

A 4'x4' SCROG would need (2) 600w

A 6'x6' SCROG would need (3) 600w BUT (4) would be perfect.

What are you growing soil or hydro? DWC, Ebb & Flow?

I've had phenomenal results with a 6 bucket RDWC in a 4'x4' SCROG. I'm in the process of pulling a sub panel to my room for additional electrical, adding a 24,000BTU mini split a/c system and lining the walls with a 20Mil vapor barrier and implementing a BIG can filter and heavy duty fan. I'm hoping to have a sealed grow. When my girls get late in flower they stink up the whole damn house and most of the back yard. I use CO2 already so I'm going to seal the room completely which means temps issues so I'll install the a/c system and just scrub the air in the room. Hopefully this will KILL my issues with smell.

From there I'm going to either do a 12 or 18 bucket grow by expanding my RDWC setup. I think I may do 18 and have them in the LARGEST SCROG ever, a 8.5' L x 4' W area using (2) 1,000w Magnum XXXL's and supplement with a 600w.

How about that setup? LOL

Thanks for the TON of info and ideas, Repped!

Yeah, I could do without the tents for ease and space. It's really the perfect room, it's separate from the house; it's a 12x14 Sauna house, divided by a wall at about 75%\25% split. It's completed sauna, wired, insulated and finished off with cedar inside, so no mold issues. I will be doing a DWC in 5 gal buckets. Temps stayed at 78* @ 50%RH last night, so adding the humidifier helped!

If smell is a problem for you (I live in the mountains, no worries here) have you thought about a charcoal filter? My buddy uses one in his garage, can't smell a thing inside or out, works great!
