good move with getting outta that MG soil...looks like they are fine and healthy in the 3rd picture...i usually bump up the ppm of nutrients when they get a little yellowish light green. I had a similar experience with my previous grow....unsatisfied yield, not much growth after the 3rd week of bloom. I think your fine with your light height. I have mine at around 22-26 inches from the top of the plant to the glass of the reflector. If you didnt cut your soil with coco, id say you might want to back off on the watering. After your previous grow, did you inspect your soil? when i did, the inside was very wet and smelled funky and not earthy. I cut my fox farm ocean forest with almost an equal portion of coco. every time you water, your consolidate your soil. too much consolidation and you choke your roots. the coco is the best at countering consolidation. it's great at draining excess water too and fluffs up when its dry. oh yea and its always good to check the weight before you water. sometimes if the pot is still heavy ill just skip it, i saturate the soil only when its very light and feels like there is almost no water in the soil.
I NEVER over water , i use to let them dry out to the point where when u water it runs strait though to the floor......i would even have to danm near flush them before i could even "feed" them...... then they would dry out in 2 or 3 days and do it again........never no probs. Now , some of these fuckers wont dry up for 5 or 6 days .... and some eat more but none of them eat like they "should" . i have had at least 7 or 8 "normal" crops before moving here, the only thing different here is an "upgrade" in everything ...... one more possibility (i dont think so but..) is that instead of waiting for the dirt to pull away from the sides of pots and letting get BONE DRY ...... now i just wait till they are "Dry" i go by pot wieght so i can tell...? Do u really think i should go back to letting them get "bone dry" (bone dry to me=one day before all the leaves drop from underwater)
i still really think its the light, i just finally raised it but the damage is already done :cuss:

thank u very much for helpin though :bigjoint:
keep the thoughts comin.....

i should clarify, not bone dry to the point where your roots dry out and your plant dies. i noticed that roots will seek out for water when its almost dry. So it like boosts the root growth. and so the watering/feeding they take up more and thats when i notice the most growth spurts. so by no means completely letting it dry out but more to force root development.

as for the lighting actually i totally forgot and overlooked something....my growspace is almost 50% bigger in area. i had a wall that i torn down splitting the area into grow and veg. therefore my current lighting insensity is chopped. previous attempt suffered ended with all the fan leaves pretty much crispy and fried. but i most of the problems were from heat issues. i hate summer grows now and will never try again except for outdoors in my future house i dont have yet lol. oh yea and they seem to do way better with room apart. i noticed that your pots are almost right next to each other. afghanis get very wide and fat and take up a lot of space. in my previous grow a lot of fan leaves pretty much were stuffed into each other. i saw that they suffer cause the leaves dont breathe as well. currently my pots are like 8 inches away from each other, but then i topped them this time.

You can easily achieve those huge colas. Veg them butes a longer and use some LST to tie the plant out. And then finally lollipop your colas to promote cola growth and not popcorn bud shoots.

is it possible to throw your plants back into veg after harvesting and leaving some stems and a few small leaves?

you will HAVE to leave some small buds too. i would say 3 or 4 at least. Then you just stick it back in 24 or 18 and it will start all over again.
its gonna take 4 or 5 weeks after harvest before you will "see" the re-vegging......

by the way those are fuckin beautiful !

Thanx wyteboi
hmm....this was going to be my last harvest before i move so i didnt clone, but i was thinking about squeezing another grow in and thought about revegging. 4-5 is gonna be too long. i guess i was hoping for a week or 2 hahaha oh well. Guess i should just focus on my current grow and get the most i can this harvest.

I should have lollipoped them all. I did it on one of the afghani's and i can totally see the difference. upper 2/3rds of the plant are much more dense and have the buds growing closer together.

You grow and you learn bro. Its good that you can see the difference though. Its all in personal perference as well bro. Some might like having to trim and some might not. When you lolli your only trimming colas. On the other hand when you don't you got a bunch of little buds to trim.

im thinking of just throwing the lil ones along with the trim into a crockpot with some butter. the lil ones seem so unrewarding to trim compared to the bigger ones haha

I dunno bud is bud to me. Last harvest I had close to a half oz of trim so I bought 3 1/4s of some decent mids and made butter. Great night time sleep pill as I like to call it haha.
