So i just got done harvesting my Fruit Automatic and to my suprise i harvested just under six ounces!!!! This is my first auto flower and i was skeptical due to there low yeild, ive been reading that most autos produce only 1-2 oncues? The nugs also started to turn purple towards the end of harvest. I harvested the plant at day 80...... I was doin DWC in a 5 gal bucket with GH three part and cal mag during the whole grow and Bud Candy for the first 6 weeks of flowering.

Just wanted to know if this much is common every time or did i just get super lucky? I never had a single problem with the plant the whole time and took very good care of it. Let me know what yas think:joint:

Are you sure that was 6 dried oz? Although it's a nice plant you need huge buds and lots of them to get 6 dried ounces. I have grown some half pound plants (only 2 ounces more that yours) and it takes 3 people joining hands to wrap their arms around them. Just curious, day 80, was that from start until harvest or did you flower for 80 days?

Doesn't it amount to the same thing, with auto's???

I don't know the specific strain but looking at it seems the buds are not that dense. What light did she live under?

I would not say the yield is unusual depending on the strain, and many people SOG so then you normally only get 1 - 3 oz but doing a tip chop and good conditions I don't think it is that unusual to gain the sort of yield you have or even a bit more.

Maybe it is just the pic but the bud does not look dense or connected not that your yield is bad if it is dry at all and one would still be super proud :)

No it doesn't but, good question for the n00bs to know the answer to...When a plant sprouts from bean whether it's an auto fem or just a fem bean, or hell even a male...lol...the plant is going to have a "veg" time...it doesn't just start flowering as soon as it breaks the soil :wall:...it will take up to 4 weeks + for it to mature and to even start showin' buttons (preflowers)...good luck and hope this info helps with any confusion...if not, well in my defense I'm high so this is as good as it gets :bigjoint:

I can promise that it is just under 6oz dried. 80 days from sprout to harvest and i was using a 400 watt HPS the entire time. Iv never even got that much from a normal plant much less an auto flower. I haven't really been able to talk about it to anyone so im curious how good a harvest this really is. I really dont know anyone here personally and probably never will, not much sense in making this post if im lieing about it........

Well, I've never grown an auto so I don't "know" if it's typical or not but, I would imagine a healthy plant from start to finish is going to yield more than a plant that's been stressed...but hey either way you did a great job on your lady there...+rep for ya...

I'm a NEWB
I'm on DAY 27 of FLOWER (after 48 DAYS VEG) with my 9 plants - first ever crop.
I took cuttings on the last day of VEG and 23 (out of 24) are Rooted in sponges and 'hardening off'.
On Saturday they will go into 6.5lt pots and start their VEG phase.
"They were no longer girls. They were little women."
One second - Let me just wipe away the tears.....

AUTO'S
Because AUTO's automatically start flowering whatever the photoperiod
I would think it best to cram as much photosynthetic energy (light) into them
as possible - with maybe a 2 hour rest every 24 or 48 hours ????

Without the rigid PHOTOSYTHESIS BASED GROWTH PHASES
24/0 to 18/6 = VEG
12/12 - FLOWER
I FIND IT DIFFICULT TO DIFFERENTIATE THE PHASES.

HOW LONG DOES A TYPICAL AUTO VEG BEFORE AUTOMATICALLY FLIPPING INTO FLOWER???

Is there any reason to give auto's less light thanthe maximum?

Why not give them 24 hours from start to harvest?
Why not 18/6 ???
Is there any point to cut them down to 12???

Dude right on nice job!!! I'v grown around 50 different auto strains. I can name 5 strains that my yield per plant is 200+g. Most autos range around 1-3oz. My last Think Different auto was 280g dry with 50g popcorn. Autos have come a long ways in the last few years. More and more new strains are coming out with better genetics all the time, so I wouldnt be surprised to see more of the "super auto" poping up. Now you know what that strain can do, I would love to see your next run of one. I bet you could hit the 8-10oz mark after a few runs and dialing them in. Good luck and nice job

That pic wasnt just before you choped was it??? I only ask because mine that get that big have some huge colas or at least the whole branch has filled in. Looks like the pic was about 3 week before you chopped.

I have been growing autos for ~4 years and have not noticed a difference in the plants growth whether it be 20/4 or 24/0. I have found that autos don't do good at all with 12/12 (had photos going with my autos). Buds just were not hard and got "fluffy". Mine are on a 20/4 schedule just to save a little power. The first 3 weeks of their life they are under CFLs 24/0, then after that under the 400hps 20/4 until done.

Hope that helps a little.

Nice! I'm horrible at judging weight by eyeballing things but that plant still looks nice and healthy. My first auto run also turned out to be a big producer. https://www.rollitup.org/auto-flowering-strains/777726-auto-berry-ryder.html#post10120474 It was a 6'+ monster with *solid* buds that gave me well over 6oz of dried/cured smoke. Enjoy your smoke!

You Definitely did a good job if u got 6oz. And yes u can get almost a pound off some autos usually outside but they have really come along way with autos there are a few threads showing autos outperforming photos when grown 12/12 from start. As for day count autos only veg for two weeks then automatically start to flower from what I have learned anything less than 18\6 just reduces yield inside.

That picture was just about three weeks before harvest. I topped the plant once and ended up with three main stems that each produced a main cola about ten grams each (dry). I dried them for 5 days on a big screen in a small room-temp about 70 degrees and humidity at 50%. After 5 days they went straight into mason jars and into my mini fridge for curing. The buds started to turn purple towards the last week which confused me because that strain has no purple in it at all. I was using cal mag so i know it wasnt a magnesium deficiency and my low temps where around 60-65 so it could have been that. Overall i am really happy with the taste and look, made a pretty penny and have a good amount for personal. Any other auto strains known for a high yeild?
