Sup T!

Still looking great in here, man. Another successful crop 8-)

Love the tnc stuff, it does seem to settle in rez if it's not circulating and I reckon It could clog up those pressure drippers so keep an eye on it. Im hopefully wrong!

I'm back from my travels next week, remind me to send you a link to a thread that explains using small coco pots and multiple feedings a day. I believe regular small feeding in small pots is better than drowning a large pot because of the more regular air exchange in the root zone.

It's deffo worth a read.

:leaf:
All good in the hood Bro
That MC just does all the work for me. Buds ale looking frosty AF and it's not even winter yet :)
Still dialling in this and that but I think I'm getting a hang of it.

I've bought TNC to try it out but don't plan to put it in the res. Mycorr is going straight in the roots and I'll be mixing Bactorr with a maybe 200ml of water and hand watering that stuff, being afraid to clog the drippers. Maybe I'll get an inline filter later on. Will see how drippers work w/o it first.

I've read something similar in Riddleme (RM3) thread
. He calles it "make ot rain" technique https://www.rollitup.org/t/calling-all-noob-growers.316301/ .This dude is not afraid to try unconventional techniques. I've read his whole thread a while back and it's interesting stuff. I'll definitely drop You a line later about this :)

Great that You'll be back in the saddle soon :) , sorry to hear about the photo gear problems :( Hopefully insurance company will get You sorted :)

:peace:

Ok, with the next round around the corner I decided to expand the system a lil bit and add another level and pots. Hope those pressure compensating drippers will work as I was scratching my head for a while on how to adjust the flow between 3 levels. Thanks @Humple for the idea :)
I've got 2GPH (8L/hh )dripper so running pump for a minute should give about 260ml of nutrient. Small screws on 2nd and 3rd level are for tying branches.

More less how it will look like. Don't mind the "mess" , I'm still cleaning :bigjoint:IMG_20180729_171413.jpg

Small tent is starting to look much better now. Will definitely have 12 plants and 13th one just popped out.

Final numbers are in:

995.3g total :
- 120.3 Sunk XL
- 875g Critical+ 2.0

I'm somehow happy. Better than expected but have some wrinkles to iron out in the next run. Mostly how much water they get but i need to increase the leave temp at least 2*C . More on that soon...

Youngsters are growing nicely on water only so far.

Will have to leave them for 10 days soon and had to start putting together small watering system, which will look something like this. I'm starting to find those drippers very usefull :D

Sooo....

This run the highest leave temp I've got was around 26*C and I have to up that a lil bit. Turnes out LEDs are too cool to help me woth that :P . The small inline radiator was takan off the bottom exhaust and this VW Passat radiator got installed on the tent instead :D
It's installed in the tent intake, so while the lights cooled, plants will get comfy with warm breeze.

Did plenty of testing on those drippers in the big tent today and I cant get my head around equalizing water flow between the levels :wall: I think I might need bigger pump (again!) As the pressure is too low for the drippers to work correctly. Either that or I'll give up :P

Meanwhile in the veg tent...

Air in the lines? Use check valve on pump inlet maybe?

Theres defo air in the lines , i've tried one way valve thing. Its restricting the flow way too much.

Nice, but I think You'll need a bit more plants to cover that :P . What lights You'll be rocking there ?
I see You have to heat up the space too. Biggest downside to LEDs (in not overly hot places) is lack of heat. Thats efficiency for you :/ . You spend fortune for the lights, then twice as much for heating...

Did You started any journal yet ?

I sorta keep a journal
Boxed Wine Cabinet and Cabrenet

The heater is only used in winter (garage) but the rack is the new part so I had to be sure it would fit. Those have been under a <60W diy led (went minimal so I could go 1 week plus between watering due to 3 trips this summer) and are just there for something green (sorta) to look at.

My rig is 360 Max watts cxb3590 in 3500K arduino controller and environmental. Also have a PC chiller setup currently at 60w (capable of at least 200) for an expirimental micro gro (used in this year's party cup).

Cool , looking good under the hood ;) liking how You're cureing them in the wooden boxes to enhance taste/flavour.

I'm going away for 10 days and had to prepare my babies for that. System in set up to give them about 170ml of weak nutrient solution every feed (3-4days). That is if I set it up correctly :P
Most got topped for 4 branches (Uncle Ben topping technique). 3 in the front row will be topped by friend of mine in a few days. Fingers crossed he got my instructions right :eyesmoke:

With regard to wood I like how it helps manage moisture but still am not happy with any of the imaparted flavors, mahogany is not bad but more than a few months storage in the box will be too much. Frech Pecan is supposidly smells like chocolate, but not reddily available here, perhaps you'd have better luck in your local?

Safe travels and best wishes.

Repoted ladies today to 8L dirtpots. Mixed coco with biochar in 10:1 ratio and added bit of TNC mycos. On top of that, drippers got adjusted with mix matching different drippers flow rates and installed new pump.

Uffff, long day in the office....

From left to right 600/1000/2100 L/H pumps. Biggest being a new one.

Putting cooling radiatior on the tent intake defo helped with temps, which sits comfy in 30-32* range. Humidity is rather low 35% but it will go up a little when plants go bigger/flower starts. Next time I'll put layer of pebbles AFTER flip to flower which will help with that problem.
Plants taking their time growing. I think its due to low rh and that they still are developing roots to fill the pot.
I put buggest ones at the bottom shelf and the smallest at the top as last few grows bottom were growing the slowest. Just to even things out a bit.

I'm in the middle of redoing the feed lines. Mostly finished , just have to add two more valves so every level can be shut off/adjusted if needed. The whole thing is done now so the 1/4 lines are only 6" long , placed straight behind each pot and reducing any line friction. I've put an anti siphon line in the tank as well , that is aeriating/mixing nutrients every time pump is on.

I had some fruit flyes last round and left overs were still flying so the yellow patch of sticky paper is atracting the last of them. Luckily theres no bigger pests in my area/climate so i'm not to worried about the ladies ;)
